Vinyl LP pressing of this 1982 album from the British Rock band led by guitarist/vocalist Mark Knopfler. When their self-titled debut album was released in 1978, the band garnered plenty of attention but it took another seven years before BROTHERS IN ARMS turned them into global superstars. After one more studio album, the band split up but they left behind a lasting legacy that continues to be embraced by new fans and new generations every year.

My personal favorite from Dire Straits
My personal favorite from Dire Straits.... This album is unlike any other one from the group. Has a very non-commercial/non radio friendly approach to the composition and the song lengths... Has a good progressive touch and feel. The melodies and riffs in between the songs are incredibly amazing and catchy. Knopfler is at his best here... well you may ask when he hasn't been! You should dig this classic... To have it on Vinyl is even more exciting!

Essential album for DS fans!
Great pressing, nice and heavy. Remastering is excellent. A Dire Straits classic, what’s not to be liked!

Fantastic album, throwback to my teens
Love Over Gold is one of Dire Straits' underrated albums with 2 absolute classics, the epic Telegraph Road with it's lilting storytelling and the moody Private Investigations. The album is worth the purchase for just these two songs. On vinyl they sound even sweeter.Often overlooked is Mark Knopfler's laid back rap "Industrial Disease". For me Knopfler has produced some of the best rap (though he isn't celebrated for it) over the years. If you have a vinyl player, go for this. It's a classic.
