Maille Mustard Mixed 4 pack

I initially bought this whole grain mustard for a creamy chicken recipe I wanted to try. The recipe didn't use much of this mustard, but the dish was flavorful, I had to try this variety pack. The flavors of all 4 of these mustards are fantastic and so much better than other brands we have tried. Although mustard is generally thought of as a sandwich spread or good for hot dogs, good mustard has so many other uses. The price of these mustards is actually pretty reasonable since a little goes a long way. I use these mustards to add flavor to a number of the foods I make. For example: 1) Try the honey Dijon on grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. Spread a thin layer of mayo on one side of two slices of bread for even browning, spread honey Dijon mustard on the other side of each slice, add a slice or two of Swiss chees to the side with the mustard, add sliced ham on top of one side, and close the sandwich with the Swiss cheese of the second slice of bread on top of the ham. Grill both sides of the sandwich until browned and the cheese is melted. This is the best grilled ham and cheese sandwich ever!! 2) Try adding the Dijon mustard to potato salad for wonderful level of flavor. 3) For an easy dinner, try dicing 1/2 an onion and adding minced garlic clove to a skillet. Cook the until the onion is translucent, add a couple of chicken breasts that have been cut in half horizontally to make them thinner, cook the chicken breasts for 5 minutes or so, remove the chicken breasts to a plate, add 1 can of cream of chicken soup and 1/2 can of milk, add a tbsp. of Dijon or Country mustard, stir until combined, add a 12-16 oz. package of a frozen veggie mix with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, heat until veggies are thawed, add back the chicken breasts, and simmer until the veggies are tender. This recipe is super good, healthy, and leftovers can be frozen for future meals. 4) Try using Dijon or Country Dijon in a salad dressing. I make a dressing that includes mustard, red wine vinegar, chopped red onions, chopped parsley, and mayo that includes halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, yellow squash, and zucchini. This salad lasts us for about a week. 5) Another favorite recipe is to spread a thin coating of Dijon or Country mustard on salmon filets. Mix melted butter into seasoned breadcrumbs so that breadcrumbs are moistened, and sprinkle this mixture on top of the mustard on the salmon. Bake the salmon to an internal temperature of 130 degrees. The result is moist flavorful salmon that's to die for. The point here is that this mustard can be used for so much more than the conventional uses of mustard. Get creative and add it to chicken, seafood, and pork dishes. In my opinion, the mustards in this pack are so much better than the "known" brands, and the uses are limited only by your imagination. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Lovely product but freshness button was popped and I smelled mustard immediately when I opened the box. Unfortunately I will not be able to try the grainy mustard. The others were quite delicious

If you like mustard, this pack is a must-have and is a constant item we have in stock at home! All the flavors are awesomeness in a jar! Beautiful taste, texture and no matter if you have it just on the place or if you actually cook with it, the mustard excels in both roles!

The Dijon Original turned out to be my favorite, but they’re all excellent. I now only use Maille mustard. The Dijon Original is so smooth and delicious. It doesn’t have too much horseradish, like Grey Poupon. I don’t know what happened to Grey Poupon, but it now has so much horseradish that my eyes water from just the amount on a sandwich. That’s why I had to find a new mustard. I will only buy condiments in glass jars and French and Canadian brands (this is French, but made in Canada for the US market) don’t have a lot of the chemicals and junk that is allowed in US products. The Original Dijon is so fantastic. I make egg salad now with 80% Dijon Original, 20% mayo & sweet relish and you cannot believe how delicious it is. Wow. Even if you prefer more mayo in your egg salad, try adding this dijon to it. This would make a nice gift as part of a gift basket with wine, cheese, salamis or sausages, etc. I’m glad they have this four-jar sampler.

These are the perfect size to try the different mustards. Since I retired I have been learning how to cook so we can eat clean. In the past year we have had 330 different entrees for dinner. I bought these for the taste and the use of different heat levels. They are small enough that if the flavor isn't one we like it will be used quickly.

Love the variety for sandwiches or charcuterie board. I will definitely buy again!
