This Daniel Smith set features six gorgeous colors in half pans. The colors are curated for color mixing with botanicals in mind by truly gifted masters. The red, yellow and blue selections also serve as the foundation mixing colors, making this a practical pleasure. This kit, through Amazon, is a fairly economical introduction to this high end line with exquisite colors that just sing from the page. The 15 half pan palette box itself is small, not much bigger than an altoids container. The extra 9 empty half pans are easily filled from tubes to extend the portable palette. The Quinacridone Gold and Rose, Phthalo Blue (GS) and Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue join two greens from the fascinating mineral based granulating Primatek line, Green Apetite Genuine and Cascade Green. The DS methods used for filling the half pans ensure a generous supply of very fine color in compact form.

Daniel Smith are the best. I also love M Grahams but DS are the best watercolors made with the greatest range of colors. I purchased the botanical set, added some more of my DS, a couple of M Grahams & I'm ready to go. Love the case cover, but case needs to be redesigned.

I bought this small set to see if I liked the Daniel Smith Watercolors. I will most definitely purchase more. The colors can go from pastel to vibrant and such beautiful colors. I am glad I bought the other less expensive brands of watercolors first so I would be able to really appreciate the Daniel Smiths. I highly recommend. Absolutely love 💗

Love the colors. Love the paint. Hate the case. I’ll be moving these pans to another case because this one is worthless.

I wanted something small to tuck away in the drawer for quick access when the mood struck . I don't have to drag out everything to make some quick watercolor paintings or little cards and sketches .

This was my first time ordering a Daniel Smith pan set. I must say, at these prices (for only 6 half pans) I’d expect much higher standards in terms of quality control. What I received is what one would find with a generic, cheap product line.Although the picture does not do justice, two of the 6 pans are below fill - one with visible dip and other a smaller pan was used. (?)This must be one of those products where it’s hit or miss, sometimes you may just receive a bad batch. But again, at this price point such is unacceptable IMO. Daniel Smith paints are known to be a favorite by many professional artists. This is far from meeting professional standards.

Utilisation florale et paysage. Dans le set il y a 2 primaires phtalo bleu et rose quinacridone. L'or de quina. est magnifique. L'apatite verte est fabuleuse avec un fond terre qui se detache et en mélange de vert cascade + or quina. On obtient presque un bleu maya. Je recommande.

Awesome paints.....cant say a bad thing about them!
