Excellent Bible study based on dvd

I believe this book is one that everyone who is curious about or a serious student of grace would benefit by this fine read. When I first read it many years ago, I read it year for several years. Now I am enjoying it again immensely! When read with the Study Guide and the DVD it is a slam dunk. Our church is in love with "What's So Amazing About Grace".

This is one powerful series. We are nearly finished with it in our Sunday School class, and the interest has been sky high. It is thought provoking, sometimes uncomfortable, but always Christ centered. The series is terrific, but I encourage everyone to read the book as well. The series is but a snapshot of the message that Philip Yancy develops in his book.

This is a great DVD study for an individual or even a group. We did this this with a group of couples and it was a lot of fun. It is a great resource to go along with the book. The life change that can come about from the discussions that come from this DVD can be extremely helpful. The guy on the video has a strange look!!!...but just focus on his words!

I'm currently using this book in a book study group. We are reading the book, using the study guide and also the video that goes along with the study. The whole concept of extending grace to others because we've experienced God's grace is powerful and life changing.

I found this DVD interesting and taught a class on it but I liked his book and DVD on Jesus better.

Delivered on time and in one piece.

I got this plus the participant's guide to do a trial session with our church house group. Just the first session touched us so deeply, they now want to do the whole study. For those who are concerned about it bgiving us a licence to sin, there's a whole session entitled ""Grace Abuse" (Session 7) which addresses that firmly. The instructions that go with it are clear & helpful, the format is user friendly & makes it easy to understand. It's worth noting you do need the Participant's Guide to go with it & it helps for the leader to have the study guide too. How far you take it is down to you, but I highly recommend it.

We are doing this at our small group, and we are on week 5. I had not read the book, but am doing so now. The DVD and participants' guide have really made me aware of my need to show grace and forgiveness. Because of the format with DVD clips it is good for groups who don't want a heavy study. The issues are dealt with in small chunks interspersed with discussion. It is very challenging. Have bought a copy for my son to use at his homegroup too.

We got this for use in a house group. It is excellent material and was very well received. Thought provoking which prompted much discussion, and sound scripturally. I would recommend this highly. Philip Yancey delivers the content very well.
