Small but quick
Way smaller than expected. We got this for our 7 year old who is short. She makes it work but we should have gotten a size bigger. We will be able to pass it on once our 3 year old is ready. Lol. It's fast! We attached some lights to the front. Overall good buy.

This is NOT the same pocket bike from over a decade ago. Totally different beast. They were extremely over engineered when they first came out. Then when the economy took a hit they started to skimp on the materials.Side by side one from 2004 and one from today look like the same bike, but if you look closely they extremely different in quality. We came across a 2004 version on Craigslist for half the price of the current model, then just spent the balance of what we saved on new tires and batteries.Eventually as my 5 year old got better and better, switched out the throttle and pc board, bought lithium ion batteries and over-Voltes, then added a front brake. Now we have a 30mph beast!

dont flog it with water, and dont let thebattery freeze! only complaint, wish they had more colors
We love these, my older kids had one years ago, they are a blast! It lasted for years before the battery finally died and the kids had outgrown it. So Santa brought one for my youngest son, he's loving it. Perfect training bike for intro. To a dirt bike.

great buy
I bought this for my son and he loves it. I read the reviews before buying and I must admit it had me worried. Problem is this is the only 1 I could find, meaning a mini motorcycle that my 9 y/o could ride and that wasnt to much for him to handle. Now my son is 9 but he is small for his age and he fit on it just fine. So I am pleased with that. Also I noticed people complaining about the battery life. I must have gotten lucking cause my battery is fine, in fact it lasts longer then the 45 minutes it says it does. All in all I am very happy because my son is happy so hey!

My son just turned 6 and this thing is the perfect size if not too small for him
My son loves this! The age recommendation is a bit off. My son just turned 6 and this thing is the perfect size if not too small for him. It's pretty fast though which I'm sure to some is a bad thing but not to me. I hope it doesn't stop working like I read in some reviews. So far so good!

so far so good
Bought 3 of these Razor pocket rockets for our 3 oldest grandsons (9,9 & 10 yrs).Ordered them Thanksgiving night, they shipped out the next Monday and I received them on Wednesday. Absolutely unbelieveable considering their weight and the free shipping. These things came in cardboard crates about 60-75lbs each. The packing was very well done, none of them were damaged in shipment. Opened up the boxes and took them out and was surprised at the minimum of assembly required. Took about 10-15 mins. Based on other reviews I was surprised at the size of these things, they were larger than I expected. More than big enough for my grandsons to fit on. I think a lanky 14yr old might have problems, but I think that this type toy is to simple for a teenager. Mostly should be aimed at the 8-12yr old group. Anyway, we charged them up and all of them seem to work when turned on. My wife did ride one of them in the house (just to make sure) and it rode just fine. Best of all they look just like a miniature racing motorcycle. My only issue is that I wish they would have just sent the decals to be applied by the buyer, I would have done a much better job than they did. They didn't waste a lot of time putting them on.We will have to wait until Christmas to see how they hold up, but my first impressions are great. They are made with a steel frame and everything looks pretty solid. Can't wait to be the "cool pawpaw" on Dec. 25th. These guys are going to scream!

Get one!
My son is 5 years old, and enjoys riding around on this bike with my husband following him, and holding it up. The bike is so low to the ground, that even when he falls, he jumps right back up and gets back on. I like this bike alot. However, the price seems to be going up. I purchased this bike from Amazon on April 25, 2010 for $150.00 with free shipping. Cheaper than Walmart and other stores. However, today is May 6, 2010 and bike is now $180, better get it before it goes up any more! My son absolutely LOVES this bike!
