Poppy Seeds Grinder, Herb Spice Food Manual Operated Grinding Pulverizer, Sesame Seeds Mill, Commercial Home Use.

The media could not be loaded. This is labeled as a poppy seed grinder, but it works great for everything I've tried to grind it so far. Here is a video of me grinding hard wheat berries into very fine flour for baking. While the intake to the mill is pretty small I keep my material I want to Mill in a bowl nearby and pour it in as the hopper is depleted. Works great for spices when making Indian food!

I almost returned it because I couldn't figure out how to use it. But today I found out that if I remove the spring, and tighten the two screws as much as possible, it would grind very efficiently, so I decided to keep it.

It's smaller than standard European grinder. Wooden table provided better grip than granite counter top.Works well but it takes time and energy!! Thank you!

It took me almost half an hour to grind one cup of poppy seeds. The result was good, a fairly coarse powder that worked well for my poppy seed filling. I rigged a funnel so the small hopper was not a problem. Operation is not especially smooth. The bare iron leaves a smell on my hands. Putting this away wet or storing it in a damp place would be a very bad idea because of the bare iron it is made of. There is no user manual and even a simple one would help. Be sure to put the washer against the main body of the machine. Otherwise the spring gets pulled into the hole and jams. This grinder is much smaller than food grinders that look similar like a Universal no. 2. I'd call this tool expensive for what you get but the description as a "poppy seed grinder" sold it to me.

This grinder does a nice job with poppyseeds. The hopper can only handle a small amount at a time, so it takes a bit of refilling if you are grinding enough for poppyseed roll. Also, you will want a soup bowl to collect the grind. The low profile does not allow for a regular mixing bowl.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! SMALLER THAN IT SHOWS IN THE PICTURE!

The unit looks like it is well made but be warned it is very small, OK for small poppy seeds but not really ideal for larger seeds. The hopper is not much bigger than your thumb.

After being tired of the ancient grinders in ancient stores here in Tel Aviv, that hardly crush the seeds, I bought this manual grinder. It's slow but the result is amazing.
