Praise

Cast your mind back a few years ago to an advertisement on TV for a certain brand of spread beginning with a 'G' and there was a gorgeous signature tune to it. Well it was this group called Praise, comprising of three wonderful talented artists: Miriam Stockley, Simon Goldenberg and Geoff MacCormack,and the track was called Only You. Miriam worked predominantly as a female backing vocalist for Stock,Aitken and Waterman but don't judge her harshly for that as she has a very beautiful voice, pitch-perfect and very haunting. Her vocal range is amazing especially on the track Easy Way Out. I'm so glad I bought this album as I believe it's very rare to find it these days. Some say it's in the same vein as Enigma's work, which is fair comment, but I think Praise have their own style, ethereal and very mystical and magical.

This is a mixture of chill-out music, tribal rhythms and choirs, and above all, there is Miriam Stockley, that fantastic singer we all know from the first Adiemus albums - and from her two solo albums "Miriam" and "Second Nature" as well.It is beautifully written, played and orchestrated and will definitely take you away.I had been searching for this CD for quite some time because it is out of print, and I was lucky to find it here, with the help of Amazon marketplace.It is a pity that this remains the only "Praise" recording ever.
