Not all Manuka Honeys are creating equal
I am a big fan of Manuka honey and while it does have a high glycemic index, as it is a combination of glucose and fructose, it also has strong antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and is effective against a wide range of pathogens.Hydrogen peroxide is what gives most honey its antibiotic quality. But Manuka honey, also have other ingredients with antibacterial qualities. The main antibacterial component in Manuka honey is methylglyoxal (MG). While MG is found in most types of honey (but usually only in small quantities) Manuka honey is MG champion. However, not all Manuka Honey are creating equal - the higher the concentration of MG the stronger the antibiotic effect. For medicinal qualities look for at least 10 UMF (Unique Manuka Factor that shows the concentration of MG). Below this mark there are no medicinal properties. While I don’t use Manuka Honey daily, I always have it on my shelf and if I feel that I am getting cold, I start taking 1-2 teaspoons a day. I like East Cape Manuka honey for its excellent taste and medicinal qualities, and purchased 250 and 500 ml jars several times over the last 5 years.

Excellent product, but costly
My wife and I used a tsp of this Manuka honey in our morning coffee each day for two weeks. It's a high quality delicious product that we certainly enjoyed. Viscous, with a caramel color and sweeter than domestic honey. If it was a question of taste alone, I'd have to say that although it is superior, it's not so much better that it justifies the high price. As to the therapeutic claims, I'm undecided. My spring allergies might be slightly better. My wife's digestive issues seem to have improved slightly. But I can't say that it's definitive. But I'll continue to use Manuka honey for the next month or two to see if it truly does make a difference as some claim.

Healed my daughter of ESBL in urine
After much research into Manuka honey we bought this to see if it could help my daughter with an ESBL infection in her urine (I am a nurse and read a study where manuka honey had helped). After taking 1 tsp 3x/day for 2 weeks (as another reviewer had suggested), her infection appears to be gone. We are going to continue to take 1 tsp daily. I can’t promise this will help all infections but can attest that it helped my daughter. If any of the East Cape staff read this, thank you thank you thank you!! ❤️

Great for sore throat!! the REAL DEAL !
After doing an extensive research about the wonderful properties of Manuka Honey, i then got myself into the exhaustive job of trying to find the right brand and the right honey among the many different brands out there. First of all, don't buy Manuka Honey unless it has an UMF Rating of 15+ or higher (a lower UMF rating is just an overpriced raw honey). Second, make sure that the honey has a UMF Certification and license to ensure quality control and standard medicine grade. After much research I decided to buy from this seller and don't regret it. The shipping was lightning fast and it came well packaged and with the UMF Certification letter inside. This honey is the real deal!!I bought it because I had a sore throat and tonsilitis and received the package just when my symptoms were getting worse. I anxiously opened the honey and took a heaving teaspoon of it and WOW.. it was instant relief! I could even say it instantly cured my sore throat! It was definitely a life saver for me. I have also read about the many benefits of honey, and about its effectiveness against the dangerous MRSA and even if i haven't had MRSA, i feel better knowing that I have Manuka Honey in my medicine cabinet.

Growing conditions make this particular manuka honey unique
I thought right off the packaging was the best of its kind. The manuka honey jar was easy on my arthritic fingers to open. Oh my but the taste of this particular honey tells me the tree the bees were wildly attracted to was grown in rich soil withstanding growing conditions. As with pastured-raised cows, their milk has a distinctive earthy flavor. The consistency of the honey was very good. I put a couple drops in my tired irritated eyes before I went to bed and woke up with really clear vision too. Thank you so much for being in the honey business! 🐝

Good Honey
It was package with a bubble aluminum wrap, so it was cool. Tastes delicious to me, a bit tangy. Left the tongue with a tingle. My dog loves it, I got it for us to keep us from getting colds. I'd def would buy again when it runs out. Maybe the lb jar. Came with documentation, and estimates of the medicinal aspects. Try it out.

I read so many good things so I wanted to give it a try
I bought this honey for some reflux issues and a rather sensitive stomach. I read so many good things so I wanted to give it a try. Within 1 week I no longer had to use antacids. I started with taking 1 tsp each morning and my stomach feels so much better. I have never liked the taste of honey, so the taste of this is something I am still trying to overcome. I won't be without this now. A little pricey, but I find it is worth it for me.

Seems to be legit Menuka
The biggest struggle with buying Manuka honey online is knowing you're getting the real stuff. Based upon the UMF labels and the color/consistency, I feel confident this is real Manuka. I use to to treat my Perioral Dermatitis, so I don't eat it and therefore can't say much about the flavor. It is working for moisturizing my skin and leaving behind those good probiotics and special Manuka factor.
