Update 2: Success! Lazy me, I never returned the devices. Now I have 2 that have sat for months. I added some colored smart LEDs to my porch. Different manufacturer than this light, but same behavior. In their instructions they note that your 2.4Ghz wifi must be set up with WPA2-PSK or WPA2 Mixed. I was set for WPA2-Personal. I changed to mixed mode and BOOM! Connection success.So I broke out these lights and did a factory reset. At the right prompt, I used the ICSee app to find the device. DOUBLE BOOM! SUCCESS!!!!!My only complaint now is that the light is quite dim. The camera is quite nice, though.UPDATE: I was pleased to see a fast turnaround with replacing the original device. I made several attempts with the replacement. With the device and my phone within 2' of the wifi, I couldn't get the device connected. Worse than the first one.This item is a complete non-starter. Still haven't heard from Jeff.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was excited to get this for my garage. When I opened the package, my excitement grew. The CEO named Jeff had put a note in the box telling me if I had any problems, I should email him directly. This is a great move. I like it.Then I spent the next six days trying to make the darn light work. You must download the ICSee app to start with. I did that. I followed the instructions step by step. In the app, you must provide the 2.4Ghz wifi SSID and password. On your phone, you must be logged in to that same SSID. After a tap or two, the app sends the wifi detail to the device. From the overly-loud speaker in the device, a voice tells me it is connected to the router. And then nothing else happens. The device never appears in the app. It can never be added. It just isn't there. I did multiple resets (long press until the verbal cue is given that the reset was successful) and followed the instructions meticulously. No success. Without the device available in the app, you cannot control the light. You cannot turn down the horrifically loud speaker. You can't do anything at all with the device.I finally folded and sent an email to Jeff.At this point, with not even an acknowledgement from Jeff, his assistant, or even some innocent passerby who saw Jeff's workstation unlocked, I think the situation merits a bad review. I'll be requesting a refund and find a new source for my needs.

Not good for low height lights
Does not give a good view for low height lights. Could only see 3 feet from door, useless!

A decent replacement
Since Canon doesn't produce the original batteries anymore this is a decent replacement. It doesn't really show true battery life, or at least I haven't figured out how it does yet. However, with two batteries I'm usually in pretty good shape.
