The media could not be loaded.  I do not know what wrong things the other reviewers have done but from my experience, this substrate has been excellent. I have a 125 gallon tank - i bought over a $100 worth of this and I am very happy with it. I did not wash it or do anything with it, just poured it into my new tank (starting a new tank so there was NO water or fish in the tank when I did this), and started putting water in. I did put some care in pouring the water in and not just dumped it in the tank. At first, the water was a little cloudy. But 24 hours after, it cleared. I did wait a week before I put my old Tiger Oscar and his tankmate my Pleco in. And so far, so good. I am VERY VERY happy with this product. I will buy it again and I will recommend it 100%.

Purchased this for a 55 gallon cichlid tank. Dumped 3 20 LB bags in and with the liquid. It was completely clear the next morning. PH is holding steady and it is so clear. Little tiny shells and organic fragments littered throughout this substrate. You will not be disappointed.

Really gorgeous substrate. My bag was totally dry but intact. I suppose that if you want it with the bio-active liquid, you would have to purchase it in store. Packaging doesn't seem to hold up well through shipping.It is so beautiful and natural looking, I decided to keep it anyway as it isn't available locally in this shade.I've read online reviews and there are many complaints about a cloudiness issue. This wasn't my experience. I just rinsed well and found this product no more cloudy than any other substrate I've ever used. **See photos**First pic is upon rinsing and filling tank, second pic is 4 hours later.Highly recommend this substrate!
