NOZOHAEM FOR NOSE BLEEDS

My husband suffers with regular heavy nosebleeds from one nostril due to previous damage to lining that has not been cured by Naseptin. The bleeds have been even harder to stop since he was put on anticoagulants and I didn’t hold out much hope when I bought this product, but it is fantastic and we shall never be without it again! The first couple of times we were quick to use it and one tube was sufficient and worked more or less immediately. The last time was the middle of the night and we were blundering about in the dark so the bleeding had really got started and it took two tubes to stop it but still it is really fast. Yes, of course it’s a little bit messy, but not half as messy as a nosebleed! After using it, you need to sit quiet for a bit and just mop up anything that oozes out of the nose which will typically be a little bloodstained gel. The nose will be a bit blocked while the gel is working but not as much as when you have to squeeze your nostrils shut. Good-bye to the bin full of blood-soaked kitchen towel!

Having spent a traumatic 3 hours in hospital and being advised to stay the night (which i didn't) the poor old NHS were unable to stem the blood flow from my nose. I tried this stuff and have to say I am very impressed. I think you need to minimise the flow before applying, but once sealed the job is done. There are many causes of nosebleed of course, but in my case it worked. I added cotton wool to keep everything in place and this did prove difficult to remove once the product dried, but it stopped the bleed. Saved me a lot of mess and distress.

It's messy to apply and you need to take care to clean up your nostrils after applying! I had to do a lot of sniffing in the first hour or so while it dried out but it was great once it was set and kept nosebleeds and worry about nosebleeds at bay on my wedding day! I'll definitely use on any important occasion where I don't want an embarrassing episode.

They work. I suffer from fairly regular nose bleeds. Recently had a session. First bleed used this item bleed stopped after ten minutes. Second bleed a day later same result. Third bleed stopped completely. Note use is quite messy and paper towels will be needed. The gel also tends to ooze out of the nose.This type of remedy is quite unknown in the UK but fairly common in the USA (at a price!). Apparently developed by the US Army. I enquired if available on the NHS but my doctor knew nothing of it and she said this after looking on her computer. Pleased.
