Color Your Mind: A Coloring Book for Those with Alzheimer's and the People Who Love Them

This is a beautiful coloring book. I really wish this book had been out when my Grandmother was still alive because she loved to color and she had Alzheimer's. She would have loved the gardening section as well as the butterflies and the eras pages to color.To say it's just a coloring book isn't accurate. It's more of an activity and mind enhancing book. I have a 3 year old that enjoys looking through the pages, and to some people with Alzheimer's that is a relevant age comparison.The pages are bright and the pictures to color are big. There are inspirational things printed on each page such as you are loved , you are not alone, take a deep breath, etc.It also focuses on things older people tend to forget, such as nutrition, exercise, fun and hobbies.Well done, Maria Shriver. This is a very well thoughtout book for those going through Alzheimer's.

A beautiful book to work through together with your loved one who is travelling the journey of dementia.

My grandmother has dementia and is very artistic. It's hard for her knowing she can't paint and draw like she used to. This book was so good at keeping her mind engaged and giving her fun things to do with her caregiver when we aren't around.

I just got the book in today, and I was immediately blown away by the design and feel of the pages. The beautiful vibrant colors really jump off each page. The pages are sturdy enough to not have to worry about what medium you use on the designs. I've had the book for a few hours and have already gone through 2 or 3 pages. I also rather enjoy the interaction throughout the book. At first I thought it distracts from the pages to color, but the more I flip through the more I like it. It creates little breaks as you flip through to really appreciate the overall work. Probably the best part about the book is the cause it's supporting. That alone makes this book worthwhile. Everything else in between the cover is a bonus!
