Fit nicely, look cool, but design is missing something
These are cool foot pegs, and very heavy duty. The build is nice, and once on the Jeep, they offer a nice area to rest your foot just outside the body when the doors are off. I subtracted a star from the rating as there is one thing that the design overlooks, and that's the hinges through which they mount. They aren't a flat surface on the top and bottom. The top of the threaded stem nor the included vinyl locking nut are flat or large enough to create a secure mating surface when tightening these. I ended up buying some 5/8" washers at the hardware store to place at the top of the stem for the peg to rest on, and another for the nut to marry against. With them in place, tightening keeps the peg from marring the top of the hinge and the nut from twisting against the bottom of the hinge and taking off paint. They also straighten the pegs vertically as you tighten. If they could weld a washer to the top of the threads before powder coating these, and include a matching washer for the nut, these would be absolutely perfect. I'm still happy with these despite the extra engineering required to keep them from jacking up the hinge itself.

Prethread the nut on the screw to clear out powder coat.
I read the reviews and what lots of people say is true, they powder coated the threads which makes it very difficult. I would suggest putting the nut on all the way up to where you would need to when installing to get the thread cleared before installing on the jeep. I started mine with the wrench then put nut in a vice and prethreaded to clear out powder coat, which was much easier than trying to tighten for first time while on the jeep. Mine is also missing a foam pad on drivers side, luckily I had something at home that worked. given The price was well worth it, I was expecting it to Have the issues with the powder coated threads. Once I’ve seen the product and used it I’m still glad I purchased, just have to think through install you’re only spending $23, the product overall looks great, works great, and would buy or suggest to someone else to buy again.

they are foot pegs
They are not exactly what I was looking for. they need to be more on angle they are 90 degrees to the body so yes you get to drive with your foot outside which is nice but they are not really comfortable for very longGuessing if I was wearing boots with stiffer tread they would grab and be better

Peg is too small for the existing fixture
I specifically searched and searched for these pegs that would fit a 97 jeep TJ, and these "fit", but the peg is awful slim for the hole. The foot rest sort of "flaps" around. I think this can be fixed with another fixture a the top, but I'm not sure. My husband didn't seem to mind, so maybe this is how they all fit. They work, just not like I thought they would.

Love this!!
Love the look of these foot pegs.. only drawback is the screws to secure. We may try to find something quicker to remove on/off. The 1/2nut is a bit cumbersome.

Could be better.
I wish they had come with washers. They also need to be installed at an angle to reduce having to twist your ankle to fit on peg. They will not stay in place if secured on an angle. When my foot hits them they twist up against vehicle. The flat that goes against vehicle is misaligned and scratched the paint off side of hinges. Will rust if not fixed.

Not too bad, look ok.
One star ding for not including washers that are pretty necessary for a solid install.
