DAVIDsTEA Tea Filters, Drawstring Teabags for Loose Leaf Tea, OXO-Biodegradable (100 filters)

I recently found out that most tea bags have plastic in them. I make iced tea every day using 7 Tazo tea bags. I verified with Tazo that they use plastic in their bags. Because I love their Awake tea, I now cut those bags open and put the tea into David's Tea Filters which are fantastic and are not made with plastic. I leave the filters in the boiling hot water for, at the very least, 2 hours and they do not tear or fall apart. I will continue to order these filters.

I am excite to have these for my travels. I will still be able to enjoy my favorite loose teas when I'm on the road.

These wonderful filters are the perfect design and brew the tea perfectly. The size is great for a pot of tea and the quality is exceptional. I really love them and will buy them again.

Easy to fill with a Perfect Spoon or tearing open a pouch. The draw string close actually keeps it closed and stops it from opening up in the water. I love to use these for when I just dont have time to wait before running out the door for my commute with my hot mug of Forever Nuts for the commute. Other great use is using this for a spice bag while simmering or slow cooking - all the spice flavors, no picking out pieces of bay or peppercorns!Typically I buy this in my local store, but that is closing and they weren't restocked. i will miss the Burlington MA store and all the great people who worked there.

They are easy to use and do exactly what they are supposed to do. No more loose tea leaves floating around.

I like this product this product a lot but some of the bags didn’t come with a drawstring like they should have. I did like the material though. It didn’t leave any bad taste in the tea. They were also very easy to use, I would buy again.

These are great for loose tea and for ground coffee. Just fill up the bag and pull drawstring. 👍

Are you one of those snooty people like me who prefers loose-leaf tea and doesn't want to fuss with washing a canister or little sieve all the time? Then you need these. Unlike other disposable tea bags, they have a drawstring -- which you would think would be an obvious feature, but all other brands are missing them. Stock up on these -- and happy sipping!

I purchased some new loose teas recently that left a lot of tea dust at the bottom of my cup with my other collection of steepers; none of them work to eliminate this peeve of mine. I tend not to buy natural tea bags as many will leave fibers or unpleasant taste in the tes. The new synthetic tea bags works great to eliminate this issue but are not compostable/biodegradable/recyclable. I found other tea filters on amazon that look exactly the same for less and 3 x the amount for the price of this item. But it came down to biodegradable feature. The others claim all the same info, except this feature. This won me over. Yes they are made in China, but I also trust DavidsTea products. I own many, but may need to donate them now as I have no use for them anymore.I drink A LOT of tea. However, due to my other tools not working well and the other factors listed above my tea consumption has dwindle as of late. These tea filters has restored my obsession with tea and nothing can stop me now.Review:-Easy to use, I read other reviews saying these were delicate little things and to use the glentlist of care when handling and closing ... I specifically tried to be more firm / less gentle to test this theory. they are very well constructed, they are not that danty.-Could use the filled tea filter bags at least twice for the amount of tea I used. This is something I prefer to do.-NO TEA DUST!!!!! In my photo you can see 1 spec of tea. This in my opinion is 100% acceptable. No sediment on the bottom of my mug after two uses.-Strong, did not fall apart.-Great for leaf or fruit teas, the size of the bag allows for expanding fruit pieces-Did not leave a bad taste to the tea, no fibers or film on the top-No nonsense packaging. Easy to take "made up bags" with me to work or to a friends house (when I am the safe ride home or if I know they have poor taste in tea)-I did not find the solid state of the paper to restrict the brewing of the leaves-I adore the little teal green cup on the end of the string ...Very pleased with these filter bags all around. I will be purchasing more of these in the future.

Works great for loose leaf tea! I have lots of DavidsTea at home but you certainly use it for other brands. The drawstring bags are quite easy to use although you have to be a little careful when tightening the strings, I have accidentally ripped a bag before. I do love how eco friendly they are though as the bags can be composted.

I buy these from the store, but I prefer not to have to wait in line to get into the store these days. Exactly what I expected and what I was looking for. Easy to use and gets the job done. Big enough to put as much tea in as you want.

I have been using a small tea sieve for years. I hate the cleanup, the mess, the waste. I wish I had discovered this brand of tea filters YEARS ago. I love that they are unbleached, the string draws the bag tightly closed so I don't drink residual loose tea dust, they are of high quality, and they go easily into my outdoor compost. Everything I needed, and 100 for a fair price.

After years of trying different strainer options for loose tea, these are amazing. No little bits floating in the tea. The bags are easy to fill and you can easily fit your spoon in without worrying about spilling. We’ve used in teapot, tea cups and travel mugs and no problems with any of them.The only thing to be aware of the first time is that the string to pull the bag shut is inside the bag so you want to pull it out before you put your tea in.
