Sperry Men's Essex Penny Loafer

I bought these as casual wear ( summer wear with shorts and chinos etc.) so I wasn't looking for someting overly dressy or formal. I have purchased Sperry shoes in the past and love them. They have always been of exceptional quality at a great price. These shoes are no exception.I took into consideration that many reviewers stated that they were too light colored and was not phased by it. When I got the and tried them on with various clothing,the one blarring and obvious fact was that the WERE TOO LIGHT. So much so that they didn't really go with anything I own. So I took it into my own hands and darkened them myself,as you can see by my photos. I am much happier with the color now. Nothing a little brown shoe polish couldn't fix. Now I love them! If you're going to buy these, just be aware that they are LIGHT. Otherewise, they are fantastic shoes!

The fit was fine, they are much lighter in color than depicted in the picture, and the heel peeled away after about a month. I was not super impressed with these whatsoever.They were decent for the first month, and it's certainly possible that I got a bad pair.

These are great. I am not sure if I am supposed to wear them barefoot but I have been for a month and they are some of the best loafers I’ve ever had.

Perfect fit. I’ve had this style penny loafer for my work shoe for almost 5 years now. This is the best quality penny loafer you can buy for the money right now. Next closest shoe would be the Chaps Brand But they discontinued them. These are even better quality than Clark’s in my opinion.

Eh, could be! Very pleased with these shoes. Don't usually wear "street shoes"- need my comfort and support-but these are of excellent build quality and I have no complaints. Such a better alternative to the old leather soled loafers.

very comfortable, has worn well. No complaints. I am a 10.5 in the Billfish boat shoe, and this fits as I would expect a 10.5 Sperry to fit. I would buy again.

Colour is way lighter than pic shown. Dissapointed about that, because the colour show in pic is way more versatile.
