This was great yeast at a great price. I tested frozen yeast that had been frozen for a month. It proofed just fine. Buy in volume, freeze it and use it in small amounts. It rises great and you'll get the results you expect.1 year follow up on original order: I used this yeast weekly and it lasted about one year. After one year the frozen yeast proofed as well as it did when I received the order.Recommendation: Buy in volume, freeze it, use at your leisure. I recently re ordered.

It does what it is supposed to do, creates gas!Seriously, a great product and a great value.

This is a superior yeast product for rise, which I'm going to continue to buy. Since I make gluten free pizza crusts and other gluten free baked goods, I'm always looking for tricks to enhance rise (adding more egg whites, more baking soda that listed, vinegar, etc.) This product is just another tool to help gluten free bakers.

I have used this yeast to make bread for about 50 years. I keep it in the freezer in a zip lock bag and it works great. I couldn't find it at Costco any more so I ordered it on line.

My order just arrived yesterday, but I've used Red Star yeast for quite some time. I ordered two, 2 lb bags. One was vacuum packed into a hard block, the other was sealed but not vacuum packed.This doesn't matter as long as the yeast activates and preforms properly. I'll refrigerate both and start with the loose bag first.

It is a well known brand we have used in the past. We use it for baking.
