Airfix D-Day Gun Emplacement () Model Kit (1:72 Scale)

As with the Coastal Defence Fort, this goes with my variuos Airfix and HAT models.

Easy to build and after painting looks very good!

Unfortunately the reissues don't have the firing mechanisms that were in the original set, as these sets were considered playsets. In The original configuration would have snap-together WW2 combat vehicles and two sets of opposing forces. Airfix also do the1/72 coastal defence fort –again diorama only.However, this set only contains the diorama, below is list of further details. I bought this to go on the top of a bespoke stand I am building to display my set of 1/72 aircraft and when I saw this it fitted in perfectly. Not a lot of parts and those we get are very boxy and square. A little bit of flash but nothing to hard to do, and all in all, made in a very sturdy grey plastic.I added a couple of LED lights to make it a bit more fun, so a flickering orange to simulate the gun firing and a white for the searchlight. Once this is all painted up, I also have some 1/72 soldiers to accompany the kit to add more realism. Great kit, great price, and your only limitation is your imagination!

It is good but not like the original. The plastic is pale grey instead of dark green like the old ones and the gun no longer fires, but it still does the job well:

This is one of the least complicated Airfix kits very easy to put together, great paint guide with 2 different colour variations. It would fit well with the new Sea Assault gift set as it is the same width as the diorama base of the latter item.

Wie fast alle Bazusätze ist auch dieser eine Neuauflage einer bereits alten Form. Bis auf das Geschütz sind fast keine "Modellbauarbeiten" erforderlich. Die Beiden Bunker/Unterkunftsräume sind fertig und brauchen nur eingesetzt werden. Hinter dem Geschütz befindet sich eine zu öffnende Klappe die eine kleine Treppe freigibt. Die Gestaltung erfolgt in der Haupstsache über die Bemalung, wenn man sich nicht an eigene Veränderungen, Ausbau herantraut, für die es vielfältige Möglichkeiten gibt. Dies ist sozusagen der "Kleine Bruder" des "D-Day Coastal Defence Fort" Entgegen dem Deckelbild sind jedoch keine Figuren enthalten. Für eine Besetzung der Gräben mit Figuren sind diese leider auch zu schmal geraten, die Fußplatten der Figuren passen hier nicht bzw. nur an ganz wenigen Stellen rein.Trotzdem können mit dem Bausatz schöne Ergebnisse erzielt werden, und ist aufgrund der Einfachheit auch und gerade für Anfänger gut geeignet.Auch viele Erwachsene werden sich damit gerne an vergangene modellbauerische "Jugendsünden" erinnern.

Ein sehr schöner Bausatz. Einfach gehalten und weckt Erinnerungen aus der Kindheit. Die einzelnen Teile sind etwas unsauber verarbeitet. Jedoch kann man das mit etwas Geduld nachbessern. Jetzt habe ich den alten Bausatz aus meiner Kindheit und den neuen. Das macht sich gut auf meinem Diorama.

Den Bausatz kannte ich noch aus meiner Kindheit Anfang der Achtziger. Daher war es das ideale Geschenk für meinen Sohnemann.Einfaches Zusammenstecken und auch das Bemalen klappte sehr gut. Einfach Airfix so wie man es kennt

En especial es perfecto para poderlo usar para wargamers, como pieza técnica deja que desear..pero con pericia se puede sacara mucho partido.

auch dieses Modell habe ich schon einmal vor ca.30-35 jahren besessen.ein großes lob an airfix,daß er die beiden modelle zu 70 Jahrestag der Invasion wieder aufgelegt hat. eine absolute Empfehlung von mir.die Ausführung ist übrigens gut.
