Night of the Ninjas (Magic Tree House, No. 5)

The media could not be loaded. My son, who is going to be going into second grade, loves this book (as well as the series). While the reading level is slightly higher than where he’s at, we have a great time reading them together! They’re fun, interesting, and keep him engaged. Now my older son, who is going into 4th grade, is not a fan of them. We tried to get him to read them at the beginning 3rd grade and he never could get into them.

Once again another great book in this wonderful series. All of my kids love these, highly recommend.

Was missing this 5th installment in my collection so I ordered a new one and when it came the cover was slightly changed from the older copies I have but it fit nicely in with the others. This series is so wholesome, the way the siblings interact with each other, express doubt, apologize, and move through adventures together it such a joy. It can be simplistic in writing style lots of "jack said" or "said Annie" but thats what makes it so easy for new readers to get addicted to the series and start reading independently. My now 9 and 7 year old both read them as age 6 in first grade reading all the way through to book 40 or so before being ready to try a new series. It was the cornerstone of independent reading chapter books for our family and i treasure this series on my shelf. It's waiting for my 3 year old to be ready for her turn.

Pretty cool how they moved like ninjas like the ninja master said and moved like mice I think this is the best tree house book.

My son and I started these a little while ago and we love this series!Part of what helps is that it has a thread throughout the book that keeps it interesting.

We're hooked! We've read the First five books of Jack and Annie's adventures, and can't wait to read more! When looking for a good early chapter book for my 4 year old, I wasn't expecting to find a whole series - let alone one I thoroughly enjoy myself! While we only read a couple of chapters a night, each and every night there is, at least, one time I find my daughter holding her breath while listening flatly. To top it off, each book is set in different settings that offer wonderful teaching opportunities! Terrific! This series is a DEFINITE RECOMMEND!
