Just darn cute and functional
My son (who is 27 and a sequential artist - cartoon guy :) - told me about the founder of Ugly Dolls and had a few to show me. He mentioned they were great to use as a back pillow when working long hours sitting at a desk. I figured, why not try? I ordered two, and when they came, I realized there is something really lovable about these little creatures. Over Christmas, my great nieces also received a few from Santa and a few of the books too. I just think they are whimsical and fun and they have been a great conversation piece. You'll just fall in love.Regarding durability, my dog thinks they are hers so we have had a few wrestling matches, and I noticed must be really well constructed too!Amazon asks you to rate toys based on their educational value. I am not sure every toy has to have educational value to be fun but I rated this section 5 stars since this should not be a reason for a great toy to lose overall points on a rating - especially when it's just a cute, snuggly thing to love.

He's a cool dude and my kids take him everywhere (unless I ...
What is with Wage's apron? Hmmmm. Looking into Uglydoll history, Wage was the first one ever made! He's a cool dude and my kids take him everywhere (unless I ask them to take a smaller one, then they take a Little Ugly - Handsome Panther and Ice Bat are the top picks then). My kids love Uglydolls and I do too. Why? They let them be creative (my kids put on plays, make videos, draw pictures all based on their Uglydolls), they are washable (gentle cycle cold, line dry), they don't have little parts to lose (Wage's apron is sewn on), they don't make noise (!!!!!!!!!) and they are just fun and cute. The cards that come with them are funny to read too. This is toy for a newborn on up. I've even bought them for 50+ year olds to cheer them up. And you know what, they did!

Great for Boys
Ugly dolls have been a wonderful pass time for our boys. As they have grown older it became "uncool" to play with stuffed animals. However, these little ugly dolls are the exception to the rule. They can be enjoyed without appearing "babyish." They are made of great quality and of course, have a corresponding website to enjoy and collect them all.

Nice Chew-toy for Teethers
My son loves chewing on the "ears" of this little critter. It's really cute and my husband thought it was the craziest looking thing he'd ever seen until he saw the movie, "Mr. McGorium's Wonder Emporium." Before I bought it, I had seen the ugly dolls on the internet before and had even downloaded some "ugly walls" on my computer. I'm a big fan of these toys. We get some strange looks from people but they just don't get the coolness of these dolls.

Wage makes work fun!
Wage is a great guy. He's Babo's best friend. Babo is my young son's favorite bedtime pal. 'Nuff said. The other day, I asked my son whether Wage would come with us on vacation, since Babo was already in his backpack. My boy replied that Wage couldn't come because "he's working." Allriiiiight! I like Wage's work ethic! He's the one other person in this house willing to put nose to grindstone, so he's welcome here anytime!

My son loves these toys
My 9 year old son really loves the entire Ugly Doll franchise. The dolls are well made and stand up to some fairly rigorous playing, yet they go through the washer without a problem. Plus it doubles as a pillow in the car. I highly recommend them.
