Make sure this is the right one you need
I bought this for a 3 inch pvc pipe that I have, but it is too small. Make sure this is the right product for what you need.

This DOESN'T FIT a 3" Pipe
This was a waste of money. It doesn't fit a 3" pipe. It's the same size. I don't know why they say it's a coupling for a 3" pipe when it's the same size as the 3" pipe...DON'T buy this because it WILL NOT WORK!!!

Used as irrigation sprinkler head protective device: works great
Used these to protect my lawn sprinkler heads that are in a “river rock bed” next to my home. They worked great for that purpose and did not cost much. Cheaper than Lowes.
