Reliable, UL-Listed Transformer – Works Perfectly with Blink Doorbell!
My existing 40 year old low-power transformer couldn’t handle my Blink video doorbell, so I needed a reliable replacement that was UL Listed. This Ring Transformer was priced right, worked perfectly and provided the needed power without any issues.Right out of the box, I could tell it was well-built and hefty, giving a sense of durability. It’s also branded with the Ring logo, which reassures me of its quality. But most importantly, it is UL-listed, meaning it has passed strict safety tests, giving me peace of mind that it’s a safe and dependable choice.Installation was straightforward, and it’s been running flawlessly ever since. All of my motion events are recording and push notifications are coming in now. If you need a solid transformer for your video doorbell or similar low-voltage devices, this is a great option. Highly recommended!

Good build quality, easy to install
Reliably performs to specifications. I used this to upgrade my existing transformer so the existing doorbell chime would work with my Ring wired doorbell/camera.The threaded nipple makes it easier to install than the type with a little bracket that you tighten down. Minimal room is needed to install this on the side of a service panel, which is what I did. The wires are a substantial gauge, with good insulation.

Works for Ring on older homes
It worked great, the normal 10v won’t work on older homes. The new one is 16v

it just works!
Connection is straightforward. Much bigger/heftier than my previous transformer. I bought this so that I can properly provide power to my newly purchased eufy Video Doorbell (Wired) S330; Eufy product in-app diagnostic shows this new transformer is capable.

Ring Transformer has UL Approved Label
I recently installed a Ring Doorbell Pro wired doorbell for use with the existing house mechanical chime. The original house transform is a 16V-10VA and the mechanical chime doesn't work with the Ring Doorbell Pro. From reading a number of articles from different sources online, changing the transformer to a 16V-30VA will likely solve the issue.A couple of the things I couldn't find in the Ring transformer description on Amazon was whether it is UL Approved and if it is a Ring branded transformer. Upon receiving it, the answers to both questions are yes. Pictures attached. 12/2024.The reason I didn't give it five stars is that I haven't installed it yet so I can't confirm it solves the issue, and I feel it's priced a little high based on comparable non-ring-branded transformers.Hopefully the information is helpful to others also wondering.

Got a bad one but it was replaced and works great!
First one came and I installed it and got nothing, had I known a little more I would have tested its output from the go, it literally put out nothing even though it was getting a little warm. Replacement came and it works perfectly … I think I just got unlucky. So moral of the story , it’s a good product but bring a multimeter and test it when you hook it up so you don’t have to climb up and down attic stairs a bunch of times 😁

This transformer was necessary because the Ring system is underpowered and does not work well
Sorry to say Ring, Just not a good system. And this transformer is equivalent to a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound. And here is why…I really do not like giving a bad review. I guess this is obvious if you look over my reviews. My brother purchased for me (2) Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro with Birdseye view and 3d motion, a Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 "best in class with cutting edge features 2021 release", and a Ring indoor cam compact plug in HD camera, as a housewarming gift for my new home. Yes Extravagant. I thought with this state of the art equipment ,(supposedly easy homeowner hook-up) which I had my handyman who is licensed install, would be wonderful, reliable and secure. I was wrong. These items in a very small (under 900 sq. ft., wood frame house) with a brand new 2022 edition wifi router and high speed internet loses connection multiple times a day, and becomes USELESS! When they lose power, you cannot reconnect them unless you are at the location of the camera, and can push a button on the top of the camera/floodlight to restart the action of reconnection. So how exactly is this going to protect your home when you are away? Answer. It is NOT. Also, if you want real assistance with the Ring system, that is not really forthcoming, because all they can tell you to do is, push the button on the top of the camera and reconnect to the wifi network.Truly a system not meant to be used by anyone who needs reliable surveillance, or security whey they are away, or anyone who has children coming home as latchkey kids, and wants to be sure they are secure when they come home alone. Imagine my unhappy realization during a storm when the camera on the back of my house, roughly 20 feet away from the wifi router, and the Ring Doorbell cam, both lost wifi connection, this while the wifi speed test on my cell phone and laptop revealed the following -Ping 24ms Jitter 8ms Download 114.7Mbps and Upload 36.0 Mbps. I called Ring only to have the guy tell me I needed to yes if necessary in the rain storm to restart my Ring outdoor cam, climb on a ladder and push the button on the top of the cam to reconnect it to wifi. Obviously this was not an option.Clearly this "state of the art": equipment needs some more artistic creativity. If this was not a gift, I would have already returned it. I am not sure what the outcome will be, but this transformer I had to purchase to boost the power of an old underpowered doorbell, is a joke. This Transformer is not the answer to the problem that is a poor system, and does not answer the problem of the two “state of the art cameras” that also lose connectivity while there is a strong stable wifi signal. This appears to be the selling of additional equipment to try to prop up a bad system. It is the equivalent of a band-aid on a gunshot wound. They are going to need either a new system or a lot more band-aids.
