I grew up with maple trees in Ontario. We had a 'sugar shack' and produced syrup for 3 generations .This does NOT taste like real maple syrup .... but more like 'extract' with sugar water.We are sending this off to be tested . Stay tuned.

i think its an issue with the way its stored, air gets in as its not sealed air tight, and it sits with lots of sugar so it promotes mold. i dont know really but i do know i had to throw away almost all of it as it went mouldy before i could even eat a quarter of it.

This is excellent maple syrup. It's medium dark and medium rich (I'm not an expert...) and it has a rounded sweetness.I use a lot of maple syrup because it's my main sweetener for general use (no refined sugar at all in this household). I primarily use maple syrup for sweetening yoghurt and making raw bliss balls, raw fudge and other sweetmeats. This maple syrup works to recipe (if it says 'quarter of a cup' or whatever and you use this, your end result will be just right).I think the price, given the quality of this maple syrup, is very good indeed.An absolute recommend.

Absolutely delicious maple syrup and pure maple syrup it most certainly is don't fall for "maple syrup flavoured" I like the dark grade A as its a strong but the medium and light in this brand are also nice, buying the one litre is so much better value for money as it,s the real thing you don't need as much.

Perfect maple syrup flavour. I thought the dark, robust version might be a bit too strong, but it was perfect. Being American, I grew up eating real maple syrup. When I first came to the UK, it was hard to come by. Lyle's Golden Syrup was the closest thing I could get. Now most places have maple syrup, but it's the light, amber kind. I prefer it a bit darker and stronger. This stuff is delicious! And a good price for a litre.

I’m a huge fan of dark maple syrup and this one has been great to use. I pour on things like waffles and pancakes or drizzle it over fruit and yoghurt. I also use it in cooking, which ranges from pies to my own vegan baklava.The bottle is handy, with a good spout, but for table settings I do find myself transferring it to a different, smaller, container. If I’m looking to drizzle over pancakes and waffles I am likely to put the syrup in a glass or metal jug as I believe in warming the syrup first. Apart from that, I think the packaging is fine.

The flavour profile of this maple syrup is odd to me. It's not bad but has a slight coconut edge that is very incongruous with what you expect of maple syrup.Having said that it's a pleasant overall flavour and we use it as a our general purpose household maple syrup. Given the price the quality is decent.

So much nicer than supermarket maple syrups. Has actual flavour rather than just sweetness, and is good value in the large container. My go-to brand of maple syrup now, both for baking and as a sweetener for pancakes, oatmeal etc.
