50P-RR Road Runner Premium Ice Melter, 50-Pound

Super duper buy Put it down within 5 minutes. It starts melting. Whatever is left. It's unbelievable. This is the only one I will ever use. And we put it down in two spots. Waited 5 minutes and this is what it looks like now I'm going to do the rest of the driveway.

Works great

I've actually gone through the bucked much quicker than I expected but it does everything you could ask reasonably. (You could ask for a 500 square foot drive to do it with a cubic inch of ice melter but that wouldn't exactly be fair!) Ice, snow, and sub 20 degree temperatures and the ice and snow disappeared. Now, with 3"+ of snow, shovel, then salt. No matter the amount of ice melter down, 3" of snow will build up, but the little bit left on the bottom was effected by the leftover melter. Great product and recommended. Price isn't what you would pay for 50 lbs at your local hardware store, but the bucket seals well and the markup isn't extravagant, at least when I bought it.

Good driveway salt that won’t ruin the concrete sealer and actually works. It seems to have some chemicals in it that help heat up the ice, resulting in it melting away and gets to work rather quickly. It does all of the work for you as (I) just got an old cup and spread it across the driveway and let it do its thing. However, with that said, I would recommend shoveling before applying. The reason for the reduction of a star and only receiving 405 is because of the price. Why I do think this is good value for your money as far as the product and efficiency, it’s a little overpriced when comparing to other products of similar size. More than likely, I will be purchasing a different product down the road because of this, but will continue to use the bucket. Hope this helps!

We bought the Road Runner Premium Ice Melter because we couldn't find any locally, and we had some seriously treacherous black ice on our driveway. It was really difficult to get up the driveway safely—but this product did the trick! It started working quickly, melting through the ice and making it much safer to walk and drive on. The granules spread easily, and the 50-pound bucket gave us plenty to last through the winter. My husband was able to open the bucket without too much effort. If you're dealing with icy conditions, this is a must-have. It works great, comes in a sturdy container, and gives you peace of mind when dealing with winter weather. Highly recommend!

Be smarter than the bucket folks. Worked well and showed up early. No complaints.
