Plain & Simple Indoor Mushroom Farming at Home, this book is what u need to have inorder to make a buck doing it !!
just got it today! finally a book with some decent sized print in it, easy to understand, and the page numbers all appear in the same location on the pages, no more hunting around to find where it is at !!! the cost is very low, so I can't expect high quality color fotos on high quality paper, but for the money, this is a hard book to beat, and an excellent value !! its an easy to read, no non-sense book to growing mushrooms INDOORS, for someone's health and Profit. it lists many resources of information and supplies and more, with the website URL. this is a very handy thing to have so you know where and who can help or supply you with products and tools needed in the business. For the money, this is worth every cent of the cost of the book ( paperback) booklet, even if the fotos and paper its written on are not top quality! so take care of your collection of books and booklets, they should last a lifetime! mine do !

Wow, I Now Appreciate What Mushroom Growers Do!
Maybe I should have given a 5 star rating because the book is well written. But, it did scare me off the idea of growing mushrooms. The time and money I would have to invest would exceed buying my fresh mushrooms at Costco. What I really liked about this book was that it shows what is really involved in growing mushrooms. The meticulous sanitary conditions must be implemented, the humidity and temperatures must be within range, and spawn must be purchased. Silly me lives in New Mexico, high altitude, VERY low humidity, and either very cold or very hot temperatures. But, I love mushrooms so I bought this book. I am not sorry that I did and would recommend it to those that live in the right areas to grow mushrooms.

Complete and utter waste
Unless you've been living under a rock most your life, this book is as near to useless as it can be. Extremely basic information that spends entirely too much space talking about the different varieties of mushrooms than practical information about growing them. This book should not be titled as a how to book about growing mushrooms but a guide on the different varieties and their basic development. If you're serious about growing and need a guide book with detailed information on how to accomplish that task, this isn't it.

Good Information
The book is good. However, it turns out growing mushrooms is quite challenging. I should have realized anything worth having doesn't come easy. The book is thorough and informative for someone who has no other hobbies. Maybe when retirement really sets it I will read it again and be inspired. I love mushrooms so for now, I will buy them.

A great read for those curious about different types of mushrooms
Book is very detailed. Lots of information on different types of mushrooms, lists medicinal purposes of different fungi. Some details on how to grow them yourself but not as detailed as I’d like.

what, just dark and BS? No?
This is a book that wanders beyond hype into practicality and is well worth the price, plus enabling to provide good quality at home. A good read, well thought out, practical and fun. Mushrooms are good for you, and this book lets you act like a pro, at home. Very well presented.

Should be titled "How to throw your money away on a book"
I bought this book to learn a little more about mushrooms, as I am trying to grow them in plastic bags in my home. This book was useless. I actually got more information from the internet for free. The author has short chapters with very basic information with no specifics. A person that knows nothing at all about the process of mushroom cultivation would be lost using this as a guide. Do not waste your money on this!

How to Grow Mushrooms at Home says go and Buy a Kit
I read this book cover to cover in 30 mins. It has lots of useful information about mushrooms, but very little practical advice about growing them. The author suggests that you buy a mushroom kit. Well maybe he's right if you want to Grow Mushrooms at Home then go and buy a kit. But I didn't need to pay good money for a book to tell me this. I wish I'd spent the money on a mushroom growing Kit instead of the book.

Definitely going to try growing my own!
The information contained in this book, especially with regards to the health and medicinal benefits of mushrooms, is just superb. I wasn't aware that they are classified as a super food! I definitely enjoyed learning about the different types, and exactly which ones can be grown indoors. This book also contains really clear instructions on how to grow them at home. This is good for me personally because I like being able to grow my own food and now I can add mushrooms to the list!
