So far this is fantastic!
Since the Sony a6xxx line of cameras have horrible battery life I wanted to give this product a try. I am very glad to see that it does work perfectly for my Sony A6300 and so far I am 35 minutes into a 4k 24p recording and its chugging along with no problem at all. One thing to note is that the battery meter shows that my battery is at 84%, I'm guessing the designers of this product chose a voltage to push to the camera that was within the required voltage range of the camera without being too close to the upper limit to ensure no damage could be done to the camera.In a climate controlled office I am now at 39 minutes into the recording and while I do have an overheating icon on the screen it is still recording.Now at 48 minutes and the camera doesn't seem to be getting any warmer, I'm going to guess I could probably record all day like this. I'll update more in a few minutes.I'm now past 1 hour now and the whole body of the camera is feeling pretty warm but I would say that at least 1 hour of 4k recording time is pretty decent.Again, know that this recording was done in a 70 something degree office so I'm sure the heat issue might be worse if I was outside in warmer conditions or in a warmer building.At this point I am very happy to say that this is an excellent product. If you need basically unlimited battery life, get this adapter and a decent external battery pack and you will essentially have limitless power!

Not working with A7S, but works with A7rii
Price isn’t bad, and these work fine for my A7rii - but I wanted it for my A7S, which I use for astrophotography, it should work, but it could be a firmware issue. I have not upgraded my A7S firmware to avoid the star eater issue. I have a sony grip for my camera (to prolong battery life), but it is awkward to use on a tripod.

Complete waste of Money *Avoid*
Not only is this product terrible and doesn't actually work when I turn my Sony A6400 on with this plugged in the only thing that happens is a clicking noise from inside my camera that I can only assume is a bad sign. I can plug my other batteries in and voila they work perfectly.DO NOT BUY 0/5 stars in my opinion

A MUST!
Item came in the same day I bought it in a nice packaging! Tried it right away and it works like a charm! Item is in perfect condition when it came in and after a thorough inspection, it seems a pretty solid dummy battery and does not have so much weight to it to make all my gimbal balancing process a lot more difficult. For the price, I would say BUY it. Of course, not every item they will send out will be in perfect condition because anything could happen during the shipping process, but based on the response they have given unsatisfied customers, I believe they're really about quality and not quantity.

worked for my a5000
out of the box it worked for my a5000 , pluged it into my xboxone and imac to test powerd up as normal , decent cord length, take a lil pre bending of the cable but fits fine it, is a snug fit ... will update after summer

+3 hour non-stop recording with A6500
(See photo 2:39 continuous record at time of pic with this as only battery plugged into my laptop) I was skeptical but this is awesome, got it for my a6500... Listen with a little hack of the camera and this device I was able to record 3+ hours! Plugged into my laptops USB port... Awesome! Can Also plug this directly into my external battery then my a6500 has 10,000mha battery - worth every penny for me

Does not work with the a6000
This product only works sometimes with the a6000. Most of the time when you go to turn the camera off it wont turn off fully leaving the lens exposed. your better off getting something else.

Every Sony shooter needs this!!
Everyone in the photography world knows that if you shoot Sony mirrorless, you probably have a popcorn bowl of batteries. Shooting video? Shooting 4K video?! My A7R-ii will chew through a fully charged 1,500mA battery in about 40 minutes. This little gem lets you power your Sony camera indefinitely with either an external power supply or large USB battery bank. The camera thinks it's a regular battery, no funny business! It shows up as a battery that's got right around 70% charge, forever. I have a big 26,000mA Anker battery; shooting for several days, I've still got 75% left in my external battery! Stop frantically charging Sony batteries, and get this!
