nice and quiet
like this call for its ability to sound good at lower volume...similar to the primos top pin for me. im not too crazy about the longevity of the rocky mtn calls in general as their tape seems to come apart quicker than some other calls i like. but when the price swoops down to what it has been the last month, they are worth the six bucks...i can use one of these during the season for about 3-4 days before they start to fall apart...tho im hard on diaphragm calls.

Easy to use
So I have zero experience with using a diaphragm for a cow elk call, but I had this thing figured out in no time after about 15-20 minutes watching videos and practicin. Super easy to use and I like that it sits in the front of your pallet which kept me from gagging. Durability is questionable, but I feel that this will be the case for any call that uses a small swath of latex. I am feeling confident in using this call early next fall.

Very easy to use
Very easy to use. I have tried several other mouth reed products that do not have the top support which I find don't work as well for me. Also a good price point for around $8.

out of the box it was a smooth rich cow call easily varied in pitch and tone. Brought in what I was looking for. Nice work on a good call guys.

The one reed I always have to have with me
This is my favorite reed of all time. I have purchased three of these now, and I will continue to purchase them. The range of sounds that they make is perfect for getting elk talking, and getting them to stop and look. This very reed is 100% responsible for at least one elk harvest I took - it was getting late on the last day of season and the elk were just not coming out into the clearing. I could hear them, but I couldn't see them. I gave a few low, friendly cow chirps on this reed, and suddenly it was like they had all been given the okay to come running out for their feed. One of the first chargers was a legal bull, and he's in my freezer now. I give this reed all the credit for getting him out of the woods before it was too late to get a shot on him. I will never go elk hunting without this reed on hand.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, call in Elk!!!!

Nice diaphragm call
I left off one star because the diaphragm call does not come with a hard plastic case like a lot of the other ones I have bought in the past.
