Knives too beautiful to use!
Christmas present for my wife. Absolutely stunning in appearance. Arrived sharp and packed well in their own box. She loves them but proclaims that they are just to beautiful to use. She has used them though and says they fit her hands perfect and have good balance. These knives are under-priced for their quality.

Very pleased
I broke the tip of my paring knife and looked for a replacement. Figured this was a good knife and good value. Love it! It's well-balanced, is very sharp, appears to be very sturdy and well-made, and is the right size for a paring knife. This knife is a bit thick (top of the blade to the cutting edge) but so far, this has not been an issue for any of my kitchen uses so far. Thumbs up.

EXACTLY AS PICTURED AND DESCRIBED
The knife came packaged with plenty of protection and a lovely presentation box. The pattern on the blade is so beautiful and the wood handle has a perfect fit and feel. It has weight to it and feels so solid. The workmanship on the knife is just beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Anyone who is looking for a good Damascus style steel blade, this is what you want at a very reasonable price. I would buy another one if my wife would let me. I want to buy the shorter version of this knife in the future. I highly recommend this knife and seller.

Very nice!
This is the 2nd one of these that I've ordered. This one is for my Mom because she used ours and loved it. It fits comfortably in the hand and it's well balanced. Best of all, it's sharp.

Decent knives decent price
Decent knives i have much nicer ones some yoshihiro some yaxell and some mayabi these are probably my lowest quality knives. I gave them 4 stars because they are still decent steel so they will take a good edge if you know what your doing and have the appropriate tools and because of the price. I sharpened them both as soon as they came out of the box i use these on stuff i know isnt good for knives and quickly dulls them good for someone wanting to start getting into higher quality knives but isnt ready to pay the premium comparitvely my yaxell super gou 7 inch santoku was about 300.00 but is in a completely different class cuts throught paper with no resistance or tearing right out of the box these would barely cut paper at all out of the box

Great add to my kitchen!
The benefits of this tool were fully appreciated this morning as I used it to prepare a frittata. I sliced a pound of mushrooms as easily as ‘running a hot knife through butter’! No friction whatsoever regarding the sharpness of the blade, the balance is perfect, and the weight is ‘spot on’... This knife will be a welcomed addition to my kitchen and my cooking implements. Very nicely crafted and it’s beauty are greatly appreciated!

Almost as good as a Shun knife.
Takes a little bit of sharpening with proper, fine Asian knife sharpener stone and it becomes as razor sharp as the Shun and Miyabi knives out of the box. Good balance and the edge holds up well. Surprisingly good, well balanced and sharp knife. It is up there in quality with the Shun knives.

Great construction. The blade is quite substantial
So unlike the 6.5 inch chef, this is way more substantial! The blade is thicker, but just as elegant and more. The handle is amazingly weighted and shaped. Great construction. The blade is quite substantial. I have many German Tridents and awesome ceramic knives. Bought my chef son a Shun special knife. Amazing quality. Be very careful in your skills with sharpening them. They are special!

Knock off blade
Not the real deal. Spend an extra 100 and get a shun. This is a knockoff made in China and you cannot maintain a sharp blade. They bend and chip. If you want a decent blade spend half the price and buy something at Costco and it will be better than this. If you want the real deal, get off your wallet!!
