TS Performance Part # 1180402 Diesel Performance Horsepower/Fuel Economy Switchable Chip

Instantly noticeable throttle response increase from a standstill, acts almost like my 6.0 powerstroke did with the VGT turbo and seems to deliver power in maybe least than half the time than without it. Only drove it a couple of times since installing this morning but I already noticed that the really rough gear change on my automatic transmission between first and second gear is virtually gone which is really what I was hoping for. The transmission shifts now smooth and confidently. Moreover, it doesn’t rev up so high and hang out unnecessarily in the high RPM’s like it use to when just tooling along, but it will when you want it to and give it a little more throttle. I like that. Seems like it used to waste a lot of fuel just revving up past 2500 RPM when driving normally and not pulling a trailer. Now it down shifts sooner and just everything about the shifts feels better. I hear it gives you MPG gains too, I’m sure it’s largely in part due to the earlier shifting when you are driving casually.Installing the chip was a bit of a pain but not too hard considering. Helps to have two people when reinstalling the PCM to insure the wire isn’t getting snagged inside the cab.All in all, I like it.

Very quick shipping. I installed this in my 1996 f350 crew cab powerstroke diesel in about an hour. My PCM is a NAW4 and was just about the most lousy program from Ford. The tunes greatly improved the power and shifting. No more late shifts and slamming gears. Impressive throttle response and added boost. Some have said that this is what Ford should have delivered the truck from factory with. I completely agree. I will say that the box it arrived in had the wrong part number and said blank chip, but a card listing the tunes loaded was in the box.

I ordered this on Amazon through Warnerparts and received it via US mail. It was shipped out of Texas and I received it quicker than expected. The default code for the six position chip was TDE and my trucks computer was a NAW. I installed the chip without any problems. Before installing the chip I noticed my transmission was shifting very rough and would sometimes "hunt" for the right gear. After the installation the transmission shifts better and there is a noticeable power difference. When selecting the 100 or the 140 position be careful taking off from a stop because it will roast the tires. My truck is a 1996 F250 crew cab, automatic 2 wheel drive. My only modifications are they cold air intake and cat back exhaust. I would definitely recommend this switch to a friend.

Best thing I ever did for my truck. Before installing truck shifted like it was strung out on crack. Granted, I gained some horsepower, but shifting is worlds different from what it was.

My 1995 F350 has been called back into service. It is bone stock with 215k on the clock. The 28ft enclosed trailer is a chore for any truck. The TS performance chip made a world of difference. The only complaint is the instructions where impossible for my nephew to follow. If I had not done one of these before, it would have taken a while to figure it out.

After I first installed it, I only had stock and 140hp. (During installation it has a washer with a pin in it) The washer feel off so I put it back on and away I went. Well I had put the pin on the washer in the wrong slot. After some tying different spots I finally got all 6.Just a note, Mark where the washer is located before it falls off.
