7 Day Canada Roaming SIM Card by Roam Mobility with 500MB LTE and Unlimited Talk+Text

I activated the card on the website the night before my trip. I didn't receive any kind of alert when it was activated, but when I checked (tried to activate it again) in the morning, it said it was already active. About a mile or two after I crossed the border in Ontario, my data on my regular SIM card cut out (I was using GPS and streaming music). I pulled over and swapped out SIM cards. Make sure you have a paper clip or small tool with you if needed to open the compartment, and that you keep your regular SIM card in a safe spot. Once I turned my phone back on, it took a minute to find the carrier, but then I was back up and running with GPS. My Pandora would only play offline stations, so I'm not sure what that was about, but I was mostly concerned with GPS and Messenger, which both worked. I did not try to make texts or calls. When I swapped my old card back in on arriving in Michigan, everything returned to normal. Good value.

I use AT&T in the US, and they want to charge an exorbitant $10 a day in order to use my cell phone plan in Canada (compared to $2 or less charged by other networks)This card was a great value and helped me stay connected during a weeklong trip. The card activated immediately - but be aware that the 7 days begin upon activation, not when you first pop the SIM in your phone.

I got it for a short business trip to Toronto - and was hoping to be able to use my Internet to make WiFi call (whatsapp) back home to my family. The quality of the internet was good enough to get my navigation working - but not to make VoIP calls.If I had known I would have gotten a better service.

Wasn't clear in the instructions prior to buying it that you will need a CC in order for it to work, even though you already bought it (?)

We had great hopes for this sim card but we could not get it activated. The process was baffling and there seemed to be no way to get support. Next time we go to Canada we're just going to get our cell phone people at Verizon to provide the required service. I will never consider another sim card unless it is "plug and play".

I have used their snowbird plans for 7 years, BEST on the market, never a problem. Needed a few days back in Canada and the card never did work. Support was not even basic above web advise. I would not recommend this to those travelling to Canada.

Overall it was awesome! Enough for me to visit Vancouver. Didn’t try call or receive a call so don’t really know the call quality, but the data was pretty fast. Price is a bit expensive, but acceptable.

The only downside is that you need to provide a credit card. Other than that it worked like a charm. Very helpful!
