came with old v.2.31, dont know it will work in Canada teksavvy... update you after the installation... dont know why still carrying old firmwareinstallation went ok but there is some interrupts with the service.. Don't know the hardware version

Amazon had a fair price on this. Compatible across different service providers. High performance downloads/uploads support....since its a DOCSIS 3.0 compliant. Nicely built when it comes to quality.

The modem comes with an old firmware that could not be upgraded by a user.Does not work with Teksavvy.

The DCM476 model we received contained the 2.31 firmware and not the newer 2.5 firmware. From what I understand the newer firmware improves channel bonding and fixes other issues. Just FYI to potential buyers.

This is not so much a review of the DCM476 as it is an FYI that this cable modem is not on the approved Comcast Modem list. The Comcast Installation Person that came to install our new service tried to get it to provision on the Comcast Server using a similar Technicolor model without success.

Only had one port for internet none for phone - not going to work for my purpose. I should have researched this morn carefully.

Setup was easy, even mediacom was easy to work with. and now my speeds went up from 20mb to 30mb as this moden supports docsis 3.0 and mediacom's new standard.

Despite what the reviews say I bought this modem to replace comcast leased one. Called comcast and they were not able to activate it. They told me to return it. Sad panda
