Globe Men's Komachi Fashion Boot

I have now owned these boots since January of 2018 and they have been great. I have worn them a lot and they still look great, feel great, and the Vibram outsole has held up very well. Love these boots - they are great for the price.

I'll start with good things. They look good and the Vibram sole is great.However, the very first time I tied these boots a seam busted on the top loop that covers the laces, leaving a floppy piece of leather. A week or so later I noticed a long thread had come out of the heel of one of the boots. It's triple-stitched, so it wasn't an immediate concern. That was two quick strikes, though. A week later the top loop on the left boot busted just like the other. It was then that I thought I should contact Globe to let them know that there was a problem with the workmanship.They asked for pictures of the problem and I obliged. Then they asked for a copy of the receipt. When I sent that in they responded by saying "It looks like you got those at a pretty big discount and unfortunately that is not a manufacturing defect." As if buying the boots on sale is permission for Globe to make low quality footwear. I wasn't expecting the best boots in the world. I just wanted a pair that would be halfway decent, and by that I mean boots that wouldn't start to fall apart before I even tied my laces the first time.

Nice boot, comfortable for everyday wear.
