Problem solver for those who are example oriented learners
Great problem solver. If you are someone who learns by example and not so much with theory, you should get this. I still failed the class because my professor was a SELF RIGHTEOUS ARROGANT person who didn't like me. I also got this book 3 weeks before finals when my grade was already unsalvageable. But had I gotten it at the beginning, an above average grade would have resulted without a doubt. Also don't be afraid to drop classes to get different profs. That helps too

A perspective on Diffi-Q, but may not be what you are being taught at the school.
These books, including the Dummy series, have limited usefulness. The nomenclatures9 used in the text book that you are using at yourcollege by a particular professor may or may not be same as whatis in this book., and this could lead to all sorts of problems. The solutions steps in the book and the material covered and stressedin your book maybe different, as it was for me.So, the bottom line is that these books could help, but so far notso much. Getting s solution manual for your particular text bookappears to me a better solution, as it has been for me.

It was good insurance to have sitting around during my diff
This study guide provides a lot of practical examples, but not much else. It was good insurance to have sitting around during my diff. eq. days at university.

Make sense of your textbook
A good add-on for standard textbooks. Worked problems help make sense of the course. Purchased for second year engineering student. As good today as 60 years ago... a life-saver!

An excellent review of diffeq
This text gives the reader a thorough and the easy to follow review of differential equations. There is an abundance of solved example problems.

Extra examples galore
I like the Schaum's in general because they give different and extra worked-out problems. My text did not have a lot of worked out examples, and this really helped me understand what was going on.

Must Have Study Guide for Ordinary Differential Equations
Schaum's Outline of Differential Equations is a must have for anyone taking a class on differential equations. For me it is actually my required textbook for my Math 46 (ordinary differential equations) at UC Riverside. The book is simply amazing. There are way too many worked out problems (this is a good thing). If you ever get stuck on a problem you can just flip through the book and find a problem similar to it; which is great for homework. Without this book I would not be passing Math 46.
