Catechism of the Catholic Church: The CTS Edition

This was better quality than I expected for a paperback and I’m glad I purchased it now and saved a bit of money from the cost of the hardback edition. It’s glued, as all paperbacks are, but it also features a sewn binding, for durability. Being a thick book this is essential to keep the pages intact. However, I like its compact size and clearly laid out sections with legible font; although bear in mind that the text size is about 8 point standard, reducing to 7 point in the charts and tables. Maybe an issue for those whose eyesight (and reading glasses) won’t suffice?!All in all though, a better edition than the original (blue book) because it is up to date and easier to navigate.The CCC is an invaluable resource for every Christian I think, and there can be no doubt about the Church’s stance on every conceivable subject!

I got this Edition of the Catechism because I heard good things about this version, and because I bought (and enjoyed) the CTS Edition of the Compendium. The first thing to note of this book is that it is big- huge, in fact. This is not the type of Catechism you can carry around with you to Bible study class. But it is perfectly suited for reference and study at home. It has a large size text (11) and attractive colored pages, which is easy on the eyes (very good for people with spectacles like myself). It also has the updated translations of the Apostle's and Nicene Creeds that are used during Mass. Like all editions of the CCC, it also comes with a Subject Index.Highly recommended.

Small print.Those who criticise Catholics in there love of our Lady should first study the catechism.we honour our Lady and all holy Saints and this is pleasing to God who also loves them.

The main benefit of this updated version is that it includes texts from the Roman Missal (such as the Creed) in the new translation. This is particularly helpful for study purposes. Andre

I think there was a quality control issue when packaging the book, as there is quite a lot of damage in the book. Luckily it's mostly in the introduction as per the attached images, so I won't be asking for a replacement as the main content of the book is good.

Completely up to date and very comprehensive and extremely useful for a course I have attended. Very easy to find information.
