Goes on end but nothing else can go on the pipe. Not made correctly.
What a waste of money. It only fits on the end of the pipe in such a way nothing else can be put on. I tried it on several pipes and fittings and no go. I simply locks itself on the pipe and will allow nothing else.

good substitute for 1-1/2 inch jam nut
Had to replace a broken "jam nut" securing a popup seal under the kitchen sink and couldn't find the exact replacement part anywhere. Took a chance and dropped $12 on this stainless steel locknut. It's slightly oversized such that it rocks a bit when threaded on the pipe, but with a few wraps of teflon tape it fit securely and withstood some hard tightening before I finally realized I also needed to redo the drain seal inside the sink to stop the leak. Happy with my purchase.

Ordered qty 8 of same nut, received 2 different outer dimensions (need smaller dimension)
These stainless steel locknuts on the inner diameter are what I need to attach to a 1-1/4" MPT component, however, the outer dimensions are different for 3 of the 8 nuts I ordered. The part number on each of the 8 packages is identical: X001CAPGX9, however, whoever packaged them put two different nuts in 3 of the 8 packages. The dimensions of the 5 smaller outer diameter nuts (the ones I need) delivered in my order are shown in the picture I attached: 2" between flat sides and 2-9/32" between vertices. The dimensions of the 3 larger outer diameter nuts (too big for my application) delivered in my order are also shown in the picture I attached: 2-5/32" between flat sides and 2-15/32" between vertices. Amazon is sending me 3 replacements and I hope they are the right size (the smaller dimensions).
