Years ago I purchased my first Tilley hat, Ltm6 Airflow broad rim, that I routinely wear. It has been washed numerous times and does an excellent job of keeping much more of my head shaded than ball caps. However, it is starting to show its age with remnants of my projects (eg. paint stain).When I wanted a new hat that I could wear for nicer occasions, I only considered getting a new Tilley hat. Since my old one was broad rim, I decided that this one would be medium rim. I liked the olive color and it was the least expensive in my size. As some of the reviews mentioned size differences over the years and less quality now that the hats are made in China, I purchased it on Amazon knowing that if it was no longer the hat for me, I could easily return it.My new hat arrived, which is the same size as my hat from long ago, and fits me perfectly. I don't see any quality issues and the hat still carries a life time warranty. It looks GREAT and I wear it on a day to day basis. While my old hat is still going strong, it will only be used for camping and working projects.I can still highly recommend recommend Tilley hats.

I got this as a summer hat.I'm a hat kinda guy.Have had a couple of 80° days and it's not as cool as I expected.Have read tons of awesome reviews.It holds it's shape well, looks and feels really nice but does get hot.Not any cooler than my waxed cotton hat.The top is thick with the foam and the pocket.Glad I got it for half of what they sell for on their company web site.

This is my first Tilley hat and it has been a solid performer so far. Being bald, I can feel the slight breeze across my scalp as wind sweeps across the open vents at the top of the hat. Even so, as I've used it for trips to amusement parks, hiking, and walking the dog, I think I probably should have invested in the LTM6 to get the wider brim for more sun blocking on my neck, ears, and cheeks.Color was as expected. Build quality is exceptional. Size is slightly smaller than expected for the size I selected. It stretches a little to hold to my head.

Hat arrived quickly in what was perfect packaging. Hat was ready to wear out of the box. This is my second LTM5 (I liked the khaki one so much I bought the olive). These hats are the most comfortable and are quality made. Measure your head properly and go from there and you might buy a second one as well!

This is the best hat I have found for comfort, fit, quality, and sun protection.

Amazon very kindly put up with me ordering several different styles and sizes of Tilley hats. Their return policy is the best. But I finally found the perfect hat. I love it and take it with me everywhere. Most commonly found on my head or my passenger seat headrest for convenient access. I have a shaved head and it really hurts when you gotta shave a sunburn. This hat goes with me everywhere anytime I go to the park, farmers market, yardsale, etc.

I ordered a Tilley hat with the country of origin stated on the description as Canada and I was shipped a hat with the country of origin being China. The price wasn't reduced just the quality. This is totally false advertising. Beware.
