This is a "Shell in Tube" or "Counter Flow" heat exchanger. The inside tubing is made from 12' of 5/8" convoluted (twisted) copper which continually turbulates the wort as it flows through, and the outer tube is made from 7/8" copper. The this chiller allows you to pump wort through without having to restrict your pump to slow down flow. Use 1/2" line to connect to wort in and out feeds. This heat exchanger was made in the USA with products made in the USA. The Wort Inlet and Outlet are 1/2" stainless steel barbs. 1/2" tubing attaches to the barbs and can be clamped in place to guarantee a leak free brew day. The water inlet is a standard female garden hose thread adapter that will attach to a garden hose. The water outlet is a 1/2" barbed stainless steel fitting similar to the wort in and out fitting. All fittings screw on to 1/2" male pipe thread copper fittings that have been soldered into place. The fittings for in and out can easily be removed to add other items such as quick disconnects or inline thermometers.
