The Time-Image (Cinema)

This is just a print out of an e-book. The pages are white which makes it difficult to read. I am dissapointed because I was expecting a decent yellowish paperback however it looks like a fake edition. Be suspicious if the price is low that means your comfort of reading in danger.

Cinema 2 suggests the collapse of ideology after WW2, whereby the sensory motor schema of the movement image (perception, affect, impulse, action) as automatic, ideological and recursive, is replaced by the time image and it's modalities. The time-image is the direct representation of consciousness as time.The second half of the book, is an essay on the new wave, and recommends the films of Resnais, Robbe-Grillet, Godard and Bresson. Both Cinema 1 and Cinema 2, are excellent books.
