Minor’s Clam Base - no-added MSG

Minor's Clam Base has saved us a ton of money by not having to purchase individual jars of clam juice for our Manhattan Clam Chowder recipe. The only time it wasn't delicious was the time we thought, "If a little bit is good, a lot will be better." The accompanying literature clearly cautions not to exceed the recommended amount (3/4 teaspoon per cup of water), and we now know, first hand, the truth of that statement. Follow directions, though, and your soups and chowders will be delicious.

Use sparingly and as directed, it's a very good clam broth but can be very salty as are all the other bases if not used in proper quantities. Used for chowder and linguini and clam sauce...no complaints

This item was used to make clam base and for that it is superb! I actually wanted it to make mixed drinks with and that is what the clam base was for. It worked for that as mentioned. I would recommend this to anyone as a good product.

Although this clam base has great flavor and you would expect something from the ocean to be salty, it is way too salty. I made the new england clam chowder and did not add any more salt---the soup was way to salty for us.

I use this clam base all the time when making New England Clam Chowder or Manhattan Clam Chowder....just gives it an extra kick of clam taste....Minor's bases are really great!!!
