I often have one or two small or midsize boxes in the back of my Ford Escape. They often slide around if I take a quick turn or sudden stop. I figured a plastic/rubber mat in the cargo area would stop it. The Vanku mat looked like it would have a good grip, but it does not help at all. Despite the diamond pattern the mat does not have much friction and stuff slides around the cargo area as I drive. On the plus side it is of good thickness and will probably last as long as the car. The fit is good and the sides should keep mud and puddles from staining the carpet.
