Racing Around (MathStart 2)

I purchased this book for a Masters degree project for a teaching unit for area and perimeter. The book was perfect for my project and I am glad I found it. I feel that it is a good addition to the classroom for any elementary teachers who teach math. It is fun and engaging and brings the real world to math problems.

Great read for my third grade students!

A young boy named Mike experiences the ridicule from his brother and sister about how he is too young and too small to make it around the Perimeter Path. Murphy teaches the mathematical concepts of perimeter through visual concepts. This books follows GLEC's and is appropriate for 2nd grade and higher. This book is part of the MathStart series used to teach mathematical concepts.
