Silva Metro Compass

I like this compass. It is just the right size, lite and compact. Though small, the display is large enough to easily orient NORTH at a glance. (Which it does quite well compared to two of my more expensive compasses).This product works equally well attached to a "D" ring on your backpack or the zipper pull on your coat. You won't be ploting courses on a topo map with this little guy but that's not what it was designed to do. This compass is for navigating strange urban environments, and in my case, as a directional reference as I seek photographic opportunities in the wooded state parks. I'm happy with this purchase. If your looking for a basic compass I think you'll like this one too.

An all around nice, compact, basic urban style compass that works surprisingly well in all types of environments. Nothing fancy or technical about it, but that’s exactly what I wanted. It’s small enough to clip on a zipper, but big enough for quick and easy reading. Pleased with this purchase.

I expected greatness because of the name Silva. Silva compasses are the mark of excellence and used in the military but, this product is only a novelty. So small, NSEW imprints are almost illegible, and pretty much just a toy. Sure it would be better than magnetizing a needle with silk and floating it on a leaf, but barely.

This thing is great. When I moved to a new city, I needed a compass that was small but not easily lost. I've lost a few before getting this one. This attached to a keychain with a lanyard is perfect, especially when my GPS isn't accurate.

I purchase this mask because it's high quality but unfortunately after receiving the package and open up today, 3 mask is missing.. the count on the display showed 15 item but when received it was only 12 items on the package... I initially requested for return but I change my mind because the mask is urgently needed

This is a good looking compass of high quality. There's a reason Silva compasses have a good reputation.

Compass points north but a big air bubble inside ruins the look

Great Silva general "Way-Finder"! Good Silva quality! Very handy!

Had to return one as it had a large bubble and then started leaking in its casing.A second one still has a bubble, but it's manageable. Although if it gets cold or taken to high enough altitude that bubble's gonna get bigger...Otherwise, this is a nice size and snaps very quickly into alignment.

great for in-town orientation, small and light.fast movement and very precise, great quality product, silva compasses are simply the best for a reasonable pricenice little x-mas gift

Simple useful compass fits nicely on any backpack but not the most durable compass

Works well and can be tipped at quite an angle unlike some other compasses which need to be on a flat surface. Nice rubberised finish, a bit pricey but worth it.

Very nice compass, only shows (only!) N S E W cardinal points but this is perfect for town/city travel, soft rubber , carrabeaner clip on, averall nice to have and use.
