Peekaboo Kisses

This book is a perfect first birthday gift for babies who love peekaboo and textures. The cover doesn't do justice to the variety of bright colors inside, and the "flaps" are pages that fold out completely, so they're sturdier and easier to grab than small flaps. The squeaker requires pressing in exactly the right spot, so my baby gets a bit frustrated by that. He loves the final page with the mirror, which is the only page with flaps independent of the page, and there's basically no way to avoid having the narrow strip of paper by the binding peel back. I'm including a photo since it's hard to describe – you can see where we put packaging tape trying to reinforce that edge, and it's still ripping back because of how the binding is put together. Not a dealbreaker, just kind of annoying.

The book showed up in excellent condition. Didn't stay that way long in my daughter's hands! She loves this book and I'm sure we'll be buying it again once we can't hold this one together anymore!

Cute book but our son like The book Animal Kisses by the same author more. He is 11 months old now but preferred that book when he was 9 months old over this one.

This book has been around for years!!! I love it!!! It is easy for a child to turn the pages and see the different animals. Reading this book to your grandchild or child is fun and a great way to introduce the game of “peekaboo”!!!It was my oldest granddaughter’s favorite book!!! I recently purchased it again for my tenth grandchild!!! This book is well worth the money!!!

Just a simple, sweet book that will make your kid smile! My only complaint is that the squeaker on the last page is hard for kids to push, and ours broke after a few weeks of "squeaks!"Finally, if you have a rambunctious child, like my 2-year old, you might find this one doesn't quite hold up to, shall we say, "intense use."

This book is very cute, and the price is right. The very simple subject material and low word volume make it an ideal 'story' for young babies. Unfortunately, the book's flimsyconstruction and very thin flaps make it much better suited for older toddlers who are able to understand how to lift flaps gently, and are no longer interested in chewing or drooling on books. My babies were 11 months old when I bought this for them, and while it initially held their attention, they were frustrated by the fact that they could not play with the book. I think they will be very bored by this by the time they're old enough to handle it.

My 1 year old daughter loves this book! She loves giving kisses. She opens each flap and kisses each of the fuzzy animals. My 3 year old has read it to her too. It's so cute. The book seems to be well-made. It's both a lift-the-flap and touch-and-feel book. The first few animals have fuzzy fur, then there is a mouse page that squeaks and then a mirror on the last page (peek-a-boo, I see you).

For us, the squeaker and the mirror save this book from being too simple. 3 of the 4 fabric textures are too similar, just fur. Would have been nice to have a bit more variety but for the price it's okay.

We received this as a gift 9 years ago, it is a great little book to read with baby. We loved it so much that it is my go to gift for any new babies I know!

My daughter's favourite book. Combines all aspects and animals she loves. Love the peekaboo, textures and squeeky features. We have had lots of fun with this book and have qatched her enjoy it for many months and evolve with it. Awesome original concept for a book

We bought this book for my son as a Christmas gift. He was 11 months. It quickly became a favorite and he delighted in "kissing" each page. The squeaker in the mouse page is too difficult for a toddler to press (being inside the page) and the flaps are easily torn so we have replaced this book once but it's still a fun, interactive read.

By baby loves this book ! Best purchase on amazon for my little one. Loves the textures and colours, looks excited whenever they see the cover.

Not what expected. My son has no interest in these books and the animal kisses cane ripped 3 times.
