Soldering Iron Tip Cleaner, Solder Tip Cleaning Brass Wire for Soldering Station (6pcs)

I got these to fill my soldering cleaning station. When I got them, I didn't realize they were as small as they were. I still definitely use them. I'll need to check size the next time I order them. But all in all it will do just fine.

The product isn’t a big as I thought they would be

I needed to replace the brass pad from my solder tip cleaner. These were cheap, so am I. It was a match made in heaven.Sadly the pads seem a bit small, one was too small to really fill the station for the tip cleaner, and they also seem a little more "Stringy" than I would like, occasionally the iron will pull a thread out of the pad and I have to push it back in.All in all, they work, and keep the tin on my iron pretty well. I would prefer them to be a little more stiff, and slightly larger, but they get the job done.For some reason Amazon wants to know how I would rate the Warmth of these... Well I would not want to use these to keep me warm on a climb up Everest. K2 May be okay with these guys...Amazon also seemed concerned to know how I would rate them for their light weight... Well this one is actually kind of relevant. sadly they are very light weight, which contributes to their not being as effective for cleaning the grit and carbon, but they do work...

I use these to block off shapes holes in exterior walls to keep insects and small animals out. Mostly rodents as they will not chew through this product. The product does not corrode over time.

Specifications say these are 6.6x7.0 cm but these are only 5.0 cm dia, about 30% smaller than specificed. I'm sure they work fine in the small holders but they aren't as specified in the product listing.I could cram 2 in the holder I have, but then I'm paying twice as much for a sponge as I thought I was and only getting 3 refills instead of 6.Bleeping chinese junk. Sending back.

This product looks really good for its price. In the package you get 6 large bundles of brass wire, just as you’d expect. It seems just as abrasive as the stuff that came with my soldering station (X-Tronic Model #3020-XTS), which works very well. Each ball was too large to fit in the holder on my station, so I cut a smaller piece which fits nicely. I’ve attached some photos of the wire.

Quick shipping and good price. These are a bit bigger than I expected for my little holder. They would fit well in a larger holder like a Hako. I’ll update as I use them!I also found the packaging to be a bit humorous as it says “4 Brass Scourers” but I got 6.

I am a guitar player who does mods with a soldering iron maybe once a month or so.These "pads" were not dense and kept getting snagged. They work, but I will be more discerning when I need soldering iron cleaners again.
