Mindfully Presented.
This is an excellent support and introduction to mindfulness practice. The way the meditations are shared evidence Bodhipaksa's involvement and knowledge and experience of practicing this particular type of meditation. The narrative is clear and simply delivered so that adolescents would not balk or take offense. I have heard other CD's aimed at teens but they were simplistic rather than simple, seemed to talk down to people and were not as succinct or as relaxing as is this CD. There are a multitude of varied meditations with focus on different aspects of mindfulness practice. I appreciate the delivery of a much needed skill from one who is practicing as he speaks. Thank you very much.

The speaker has a tough time with S sounds. Hard to listen to.
I bought this based off the reviews. Most said it was a great CD. What I didn't know is although the person talking on this CD is from Scotland and overall his voice is soothing, anytime he hits an S it's like nails on a chalkboard. There is a long hissing sound with it. It never gets better. The letter S is found in many words as I came to find out. It was so bad that my kids asked to turn off the CD. Something with the recording must be off. I would said this is the opposite of meditation.

This CD is very straightforward and accessible but does not talk down to teens. The tracks are short and simple and straight to the point, yet very calming. I have several other of Bodhipaksa's mindfulness meditation CD's and he comes across as the same person on this CD--he's not trying to be hip or cool (which, let's face it, is an inauthenticity an adolescent can spot a mile off!), which is refreshing in a recording aimed at teens.

Excellent for both adolescents and adults and probably all other living things.
I sampled a few meditation/ relaxation tapes - many geared for adolescents. This is my favorite so far. It's simple in format - just this Buddhist from Scotland giving a little explanation and facilitating several techniques in Mindfulness. No music - no back ground - and he's great! His voice and delivery radiate centeredness and mindfulness. He does not patronize youngsters - but presents clearly and understandably. It can Used and enjoyed by parents and grandparents too!

Useful for working with teens in the behavior health system
Useful for working with teens in the behavior health system. Some of them love it, some of them fall asleep to it and only a few just hate the idea of meditation anyway. I like the scottish accent and the way he explains what meditation is and what it is for in simple terms.

I found this audio cd interesting & effective for mindfulness
I listen to this cd daily ,I am focusing on one track/lesson of mindfulness for several weeks , so I can really absorb this treasure. So far I have been alot calmer than most persons and I amjust really enjoying this mindful purchase. also mindfulness is a safe and very effective mediatation , Thank you Lord Buddha.

So far so good. Tho my daughter just need reminding and a bit of encouragement to listen rather than the radio! But she has said it was nice to listen to and she felt relaxed as she went to sleep. I have told her that she needs to listen to it regularly to gain any benefits......................

Mindfulness Meditations for Teens
My son had problems with settling down to his new school. He used to have stomach ache every morning and sometimes it lasted all day! After purchasing this CD, it stopped just after listening to it a few days after. Now he's listening to it almost every morning or before bed time. Would recommend it everyone having similar problems. Thank you Bodhipaksa!

I would recommend this CD to other parents
I bought this for my 16 year old son to help him during his GCSE revision and exams. He was a bit unsure about the whole mindfulness thing but we listen to one or two of the practices together and he says it helped during his French oral exam. I would recommend this CD to other parents: it is not too demanding and the practices are short and easy to do anywhere.
