For the price, I expect more
They are correct in the advertisement. Low profile. Field tip accuracy. I really like how they secure the blades too. The little O ring works well. Even with my super fast Xbow, it flies true and doesn't open early. My problem with it is, that I've shot two deer this year with it. Blood trails were awful. Late Nov, I shot a decent 5 point. A little high on the shoulder but double lung. Blood trail was negligible. The entry hole was ok but the exit was just a knife like slit. Last week I shot a big doe with it. Same hit. Went through the shoulder on the left side and out the shoulder on the right. It went through bone like butter. You look at the two heads and even though they passed through bone, they look like they were shot at paper. The tips are in perfect shape. But again, the blood trail was crap. She didn't show a trail until she was 35 yards from the initial hit. She ran close to 100 yards before falling dead. Fortunately she ran on a trail that was a straight line away from me. I finally just started walking and walked up on top of her. She was laying on the exit wound. Had been down for an hour and half. Hardly any blood on the ground. Hardly any in the back of my truck either. Open that chest, it gushed. Its like the exit wounds reseal after pass through. I'm trying Reapers next. I've got 3 more of these.....I won't use em.

Success!!!
This broadhead does its intended job as long as you make a decent shot. But that's the case with most any broadhead on the maket today. I took my very first archery deer this year with this broadhead. Went through bone and still did its job.I really like the fact that you can put this expandable broadhead into a practice mode with the set screw. But you will need to supply your own allen wrench to do so. It does not come with one. That's my only complaint. I had to go out and get the 0.05" allen tool before I could practice with it. This is usually the smallest tool in the allen wrench sets that are sold. My set was somehow missing this size though.

One shot only then you have get new blades for sure and a new tip is a good idea. They are accurate but I'm not a fan of their durability. From a value perspective, there are better options out there. I've decided to go with Swhacker, their heads are more inexpensive, the blades are more inexpensive, their bands are more inexpensive and I've yet to have to replace a tip. They are every bit as accurate as the Ulmer Edge.

shot well. but not a great design
shot well, rubber bands are a pain, you can hear the blades shaking around in your quiver because they aren't tight. Shot an elk, no blood, searched for days, no elk. I normally use Spitfires and I think they are MUCH better for the price. More durable, 3 blade, great penetration. I have shot 2 elk and 2 deer, all dead within 100 yards with a fist size hole through them.

Excellent
You might think I work for them after reading this but I don't. These heads hit exactly where my field tips hit. I shot 3 deer in 2012 with these. All three deer died within 100 yds. The heads expanded without flaw. First deer went 60 yds., second deer went 20 yds., third deer was hit a little too far back, and went 100 yds. All were complete pass-through! After watching dozens of deer killed on TV with the famous Rage, and seeing that very seldom do they pass through, these Ulmer Edge really amazed me. Plus, the blades are so strong, they don't even bend. I cleaned them off, sharpened them, and put them back on arrows and placed them in my quiver. I've experimented with different blades for 20 years. Now I'm done searching.

good so far
Shooting these from a 425 fps crossbow, I am getting peach-sized groups at 40 yards. Practice mode on these is awesome. The design of these is very well thought out.I have not shot them live yet, so I have to hope the rubber band won't snap at launch. Until I see that and actually see their performance on a live animal, I can't give the 5th star.

Good and bad
Flys like a field point. Killed a bull elk at 25 yards with a double lung shot. Elk went 40 yards and dropped. Only bad thing is the blades are not sharp and for the price they should be.

The perfect match for high power crossbows
These are excellent - especially for faster crossbows - I have a PSE Elite which shoots +/- 415 FPS - I tried Rage for Xbows and they consistently opened coming out of my bow - no problems with these - they stay shut until hitting target. Took a 200lb doe at 80 yards and was a complete pass through lung shot - she went 30 yards and dropped for good. Did hit some bone on the way through and bent one blade but definitely did the job well. When you combine the accuracy of these with the take down power, they are an excellent product.
