MilkaMilk Chocolate Mousse Dessert Au, 100g (PACK OF 5)

Great chocolate bars, but 75% more than retail prices in Europe where we discovered this product. Milka has TONS of flavor combinations that are all great … at least the several we have tasted.

This flavor is- in my humble opinion- the very best of milka. My only complaint was that, for some reason, most of the bars came relatively crumbled and pieces would crumble when I tried to break them off. It wasn't inedible but something wasn't quite right.

The expiration day looks ok, but chocolate itself is very old with patina on it. Nor eatable.

I lived in Austria for about three years, and Milka chocolate was in every store in multiple versions. Noisette was always my favorite, but I like many of the versions. It's expensive so I order this once a year at most. This year I am sorely, deeply disappointed. It may be that the chocolate was too old, but I am also sure that they changed the recipe. Noisette should mean that there's a layer of ground hazelnut paste, but this bar (I won't open more than the one) is chalky and dry and does not taste like Milka. I'm reminded of the cheapest chocolate you can get here. I had another experience like this a few years ago with a different variety of chocolate (Merci) that arrived completely inedible, the chocolate spotted with age. And they didn't accept returns. So my advice is, if you want to try Milka (and when it's at its best, wow, it's excellent) do not buy it here on Amazon. I won't be ordering any European chocolate from Amazon, ever again.
