Works for intended purpose
This cable worked well for me. I suspect the people who are saying the pinout is incorrect or that it does not work either did not receive the correct product or did not use it for the properly intended purpose. The purpose of this cable is to enable an *unused* CPU power cable to power a GPU. It adapts the pinout of a spare 8-pin CPU power cable (EPS 12V) to that which can be used to power a GPU. This works well for people using dual power supply mining rigs. The otherwise unused CPU power slots can be used to provide VGA/PCIE power to additional GPUs. The female end plugs into whatever CPU/EPS12V cable comes with your power supply. The male ends plug into your GPU.

Compatible with new video cards
Perfect item for Video card

They do what they're supposed to.
I have servers with PDUs that don't have PCIE connectors. A few chassis are JBODs and I wanted to use fan controllers that require PCIE power. These worked perfectly to adapt a EPS-12v connector to PCIE. These are built well and perform the task.

Works Perfectly
Does exactly what it say it does, which is to adapt leftover or unused cpu to dual 8 pcie pin for video card. This is a two pack. I connected the two to my two unused cpu cable on my NZXT C850 as this was for a second psu used for mining. The two adapter plug into both my RTX 3070 and been running for over 2 weeks without any issue. Edit** 11/20/21 - Still running strong. I'm running five rtx 3070 on this C850 power supply using three of the original dual pcie 8 pin. and these two cpu to gpu dual pcie 8pin.

Excellent Product, Works Great, Extra Power From Your PSU
Works exactly as described, gives me 4x extra VGA 8pins on my PSUs that aren't powering a motherboard and 2x extra VGA 8pins on my PSU that is powering a motherboard. Excellent construction, works great. DO NOT USE WITH A REGULAR VGA 8pin PSU CABLE. I've seen horror stories online of people forcing these adaptors onto a VGA 8pin, not realizing it's for the 4+4pin CPU cable. Those stories don't end well.

Crippled my machine and caused expensive damage.
It took 6 weeks of swapping parts to discover that this cable was completely insufficient to power any GPU. It fried the pcie 6-pin port and a second power supply was ordered to replace it. Neither an RTX 2070, nor a puny GTX 460 would spin up with this cable. Additionally, the 8 pin sockets are incompatible with any quality 6+2 plugs. While troubleshooting, I ordered other duplicate components that I was ultimately unable to return. It cost me 6 weeks of productivity on top of the hardware burn. Replacing it with a similar cable at a similar price point solved all my problems. This $15 loom of Satan cost me at least $100 in quantifiable assets, not counting my time. Ultimately, I am responsible for the equipment I plug into my machines, but I can't fathom the purpose of this cable as anything other than a dangerous scam.

Works!
This adapter works great, however the gender of the plugs is opposite as stated - the CPU plug side is male (small pins in core) and the GPU sides are female (small receptacles in core). This is as it should be - and allows you to power two 8 pin pcie devices from an 8 pin cpu power plug. Excellent value for money.

Good customer support
Works great. Company is great too. One of the cables had a defect I didn't notice until I used it 4 months after purchase. Sent a picture to the seller and they replaced it immediately.
