Crate on Wheels
6-12-25 Update: works just as intended sturdy - slides well on hard wood - still very happy with purchase42.75” L x 28.5” W x 30.5” HTractor Supply Retriever Two door dog crate*** Packaging recommends crates larger than 30” L should have 3 sets of wheels ***Easy to follow instructions, but a cumbersome task to install. Roughly an half an hour for all 6 wheels. End results are just what I was looking for. I keep the center wheels unlocked and lock the corners.I added these wheels for 2 reasons;- crates are over top of registers and needed a gap for ventilation- i can finally now sweep and vacuum the fur that accumulatesRolls smoothly when unlocked, when locked it does feel sturdy but if shoved hard enough it will slide.I have 2 60lb dogs, will update in about a week for progress report.

Makes huge crates manageable!
I got this to go along with my puppy's new Midwest Life Stages crate. The installation of the casters was a little tricky by myself, but once I got the hang of how the casters install, I was able to finish it. The instructions left much to be desired, as they were just a picture showing how each piece is supposed to go, and not any step-by-step guide. You can figure it out well enough though. I used the casters with another Midwest Crate, so I knew that they would fit, but beware if you do not have a Midwest Crate, as these may not fit your particular model of crate. The casters themselves are good quality. They have a locking mechanism that prevents the wheel from moving. They are made out of plastic, so I would try to be careful with them, but I don't think with normal use they would fall apart. As another reviewer mentioned, please be careful when purchasing these casters. They come in a pack of two, and you will need at least four. They packaging recommends using six for large crates. I guess I will be buying more of these when I get the chance, as I have a dog that will get to be pretty large.I actually am enjoying the mobility of my dog's crate now, so I think this is a very great and useful product at a very cheap price. This has made my dog's crate mobile, so now I can move him from my living room to my bedroom with no problem whatsoever. I do recommend this product to anyone that has a pet crate that they may need to move. It makes the job much easier, and the pet much happier.

Glad I got them overall
They were kind of tricky to get on but it was worth it to have them. One of the wheels has cracked when I was moving it but it was one of the center wheels so it wasn't as big of a deal. I think it would have been nice to sell them in bigger packages- I didn't realize that it is recommended to have six on a crate. Overall, it improved my life.

Save your money!
If you enjoy spending money on shoddy products made in China, this crate dolly by Mid West is just the ticket. I was surprised to find that the metal tubes are incredibly thin and dent easily (which happened even before I opened the box). The tubes are poorly cut and do not fit into each other properly. The tube welds are very sloppy and in many spots are simply missing, leaving gapping holes that will allow the metal to rust from the inside. Bolts to mount the wheels came loose in the box and are of exceptionally poor quality. Added to that, all the parts smelled very bad (like a nasty solvent). It took 2 weeks of cleaning it to get rid of the smell. Overall, this might be the worst product I have ever bought from anyone, anywhere. It is complete rubbish. I should have returned it but I was going to a tournament and really needed something with wheels. I'd be surprised if this dolly lasts more than a couple of seasons. Beware, this product is complete junk. The fact that Mid West put their name on it tells me that they must be going down the drain and to never buy anything from this company again.

Holds up well
These are holding up well after 6 months. We purchased 3 sets for a 36" crate because there was condensation between the crate and tile floor. Now there is adequate airflow and no more soggy dog bed. Dog is 32lb Australian Cattle Dog.

Don't like the seller limiting the number you can buy. I have 2 cages.
I bought these for 2 dog cages. For my 85# female's cage which is 28 wide x 42 long these wheels worked well. No issues However, for my 130# male's cage though 4 wheels were not enough. His cage is 30 wide x 48 long. It bowed because the metal wire floor of the cage wasn't sturdy enough to support his weight. I added 2 more wheels to the middle sides of the cage which helped, I'm going to add a piece of plywood to give the cage the support it needs. Irritating though that the seller only allows a purchase of 3 packages of 2 wheels each. I had to order more on Chewy.com. I do now love the ease of moving these cages around to vacuum around them and move to another room it I need to. The wheels also do not interfere with folding the cage for transporting, this will be great when we need to go out of town with the dogs and cages.
