Average...
The wave maker is really effective near the top but at about 10 to 11" depth or more it starts to act wierd. Has a tendency of reversing and throws water back rather than in the front.Also the direction stand is not stable. Suction cups are great but single stick direction stand is not helpful due to the heavy body of the produxt. Tends to fall down and lose direction.

Good for 3 ft tank..
Bought it a month back, still working. Powerful enough to creat wave in 3 ft tank. Hope it will last..Drawback.... Many times it rotated in reverse direction and sucks water instead of throwing.. that's unsafe for small fishes.. you have to restart it to rotate in right direction..

For small Tanks only
The product power plug does not tend to fit tight in most sockets. Got to put a chip in to tighten, else getting loose and wave maker stops.This is a low wattage wave maker suitable only for small Tanks ( 2 ft Max).Go for higher wattage, if your tank is bigger than 2 ft.The suction cups will give up, if your surface is not scrubbed and cleaned. With wrong twists, they will come out.
