No more loose rounds in my pocket or drawer:) I highly recommend it for revolvers!
This is such a simple idea but it works great! It securely holds .44 Special and .44 Magnum rounds with both brass and steel casings. I tested 2 speed strips at a time and I LOVE that I can keep 12 rounds in one pocket ready to go, yet completely concealed and held snug with no rattling. No more loose rounds:) Though it is a slightly looser fit with the .44 Special ammunition (Speer Gold Dot) I haven't had a single round come loose yet, even with 2 strips and an iPhone in my Levy's 501 pocket. It is possible to chamber 2 rounds at a time with a little practice, but even 1 at a time is quicker with this speed strip than by hand (have you tried carrying 12 loose .44 Mag rounds in a pocket?). I don't understand why other reviewers claim it to be a faster or easier speed loader than the HKS speed loaders, but it has it's advantages. I highly recommend it for revolvers.

Nice Speed Strips
Purchased these because they are less bulky than speed loaders. These were rated as sturdier than similar brands. I had the .38/.357 version already and I like those just fine. These are the .44/.45 version I purchased for my Model 29.

Bend the strip first, then instert
Sometimes loading is difficult, but with revolver strips, you should already have them loaded with ammo for the range or ready to defend yourself. I know that. It's just not the easiest to fill up with bullets.

Worth the money
I tried the cheaper alternatives and wasn't happy. They were too rubbery and flexible, bullets would tend to fall out, which has never happened with these.

Have used these before in other calibers.
If you prefer to carry extra ammunition on you that is not going to print, or not be easily seen then these speed strips fit the bill. These speed strips are more rigid than some others & do not allow for the ammunition being carried to come out easily. That does mean that when you go to reload (God forbid) they have to be twisted off to release. Practice will help overcome this. Recommended

First these are great BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I ordered I was in need of both for 44mag and 38/357. So in reading the listing I ordered these the 580s thinking they would fit both 44-45 38-357. NO THEY DON"T. the ones I got are specifically for 44-45 and way to big for the others.I would like to suggest verify just a little better, Why is the product number 580 for both????? why not 580 for one 581 or the others make little less confusing...Its all good, they are well made and will work great, I just have enough 4 for the 44 to keep a pack of elephants at bay :) I will reorder the ones for the 38/357 next month.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SUGGEST, WHY NOT USE MAILER BAGS FOR ITEMS LIKE THIS!! These 2 items basically could of fit in a standard regular mail envelope, instead in a box with enough room for 30 to 40 packs. Just suggestion. Amazon is still my favorite. Just someone needs to look at that speed strip listing.............................Dave HallRR Mondovi, Wi

Really puts the "Pick Six" back in the Governor
Let's face it; revolvers are not easy to reload. One of the blessings of reloading them is that they only tend to carry six rounds. Could you immagine having to reload fifteen rounds? A chore and a half even with speed loaders and speed strips.I bought this for use in a Governor (not THE Governor - a story for another time). I was using speed loaders and moon clips to recharge the GOV. I could load it with my choice of ammo for the first six shots (I just love the Pick Six marketing slogan) but after that I had no quick way to load the 2.5" .410 shells. The .45 Long Colt fit in the speed loaderHKS 29-M Revolver Speedloader for S&W 29, 629/Dan Wesson/Ruger Redhawk/Super Redhawk/Colt Anaconda/Taurus .44, 444 Raging Bull and the moon clips held the .45 ACP in place for even easier loading but if I still needed the buckshot or even better the .410 PDX-1 Defenders (absolutely love the 3 defensive discs followed by 12 plated BBs) I was stuck loading them by hand sometimes one-at-a-time from my pocket.Well not anymore with the Bianchi .44/.45 speed strips. They fit the Federal .410 handgun ammo and the Winchester .410 PDX-1 and .45 Long Colt. I suspect that more types of .410 shells fit and .44 Mag fit as well but I didn't have any of those shells or rounds on hand to check with. When I first got the GOV I loaded it with 2, .410 PDX-1; 2, .45 ACP in a third moon clip; and 2, .45 Long Colt PDX-1 Defenders (from the combo package of .45 LC and .410 2.5" PDX-1). Trial and error at the range then had me loading all .410 for the first 6 and a full moon clip or speed loader of .45 auto or long. Now that I have these strips my initial load is 2-.410 2.5" PDX-1, 2-.410 2.5" Federal 000 Buck, and 2 .45 auto or long depending on if I'm being cheap or not. The speed strips include the exact same loading with the exception that it is always 2-.45 Long Colt (the .45 auto does not fit in the strip in the moon clip). I can now carry and index a reload of whatever type of shot that I want. The only drawback is the little tab to hold the strip by is short. I would recommend a longer speed strip if you could get it (eight rounds or more). The extra slots can be used all at the bottom, spread out, or even just fill it completely for even more reloading flexibility of choice. Now if only my other Governor issue were that easy to deal with.

Sinon super, bon article.

Essential For A Revolver
These things are great! Every revolver owner should have several. I love speed loaders and I use them but they are heavy and bulky in your pocket and useless for a single action revolver. That is where these shine. Check out YouTube for how to use these with a single action pistol. Even with double action pistols, these are very handy — and affordable. I look at these as a supplement to speedloaders, not instead of. Very highly recommended, actually they are essential.
